Not that I'm political but wasn't it all ready in the ground with Bush? From what I can see nothing has changed but now a democrat is in office.
Uh, no, the guy sucks and the country knows it. He's a class envy collectivist of the first order. Sorry, blame it on Bush ran out of gas months ago. Point to whatever Bush did, it doesn't explain consumer confidence, bailout bingo, global warming farce, health care take over fail, and the car company fiasco with the winners being UAW, SEIU and an apology to Europe now we're weak asses tour. Jimmy Carter part deux. I just hope they keep putting used Buick salesman hair plug guy Joe Biden on the camera. Bush should have told GM and Chrysler to declare bankruptcy then and avoid the UAW contracts and regroup, but he didn't have the balls do that, (or to even pardon those border guards for that matter), so now UAW and government own the company. Great. For that I don't care for Bush. Spent lots of money too, but his 8 year climb from 1 trillion to 2 trillion is sort of dwarfed by Obama's run from 2 trillion to 12 trillion in just a year. So yeah, I'd say its a little different, LIKE 6 TIMES DIFFERENT....
I didn't blame Bush. I just stated that it was all ready there. Bush bailed out the banks, why don't you think a Republican would bail out the auto industry? Nothing has changed. What has changed in your personal life from one president to the next, probably nothing? Mine is still the same.
This is probaby better located to the Politics forum. Its congress that has had the reigns for a while, but understand what has been thrown this way the last year, with all the radical wingnuts in the cabinet as czars and our entire foreign policy shift has been way different. Did you miss the part about 2 trillion going to 12 trillion in just a year? our kids kids will be paying for that. A Republican didn't bail out the auto industry by giving the board to the UAW. I think the bail out was a bad idea, and has been run poorly as a veiled tool to give big gumbmint a way to run banks. I think McCain was an awful candidate because he's such a lib. As for personal changes, plenty has occured, I see inlaws rentals and commercial properties having issues because small businesses are pulling their horns in because people are spending less money. Fewer jobs, fewer everything. Lesser economic put through. That 17% unemployment affects everything. You need only ask the waitress, the local businessman. Its real. Wife works for a health care company, think they've seen a few changes? White House called their CEO 23 minutes after they came out against the health care take over bill to Rahm 'em up. You can bet they've seen changes and not for the better of the common person or whatever money envy term is in vogue today. Don't mean to make personal, but you asked. Its tighter out there. The whole shift left by this guy will cause a large off year switch for elected reps. It usually happens, but this swing will be large, despite whatever PMSNBC, ZNN and the other government controlled media tell you. Change is coming to those who make more than $250,000 year. BTW, when did $250,000 become the magic cut off your nuts income number in this country anyway? It was an en vogue number 8 years ago when then stiff as a log algore trumpeted it around for 2000 election as threshold for a millionaire tax. A decade later, not indexed for inflation, that class envy number is still touted as a take their money and run threshold. Takling half the money you make over that low a threshold is no way to make this country a better place. The filthy "how much is enough" crowd would make a better argument with like a 2 to 5 million dollar threshold, not that that is any less offensive, but the net would be pretty narrow. $250,000 hits a lot of people with 2 jobs, 2 kids, a decent size house and school tuition and a desire to take a vacation once in a while that don't in any way consider themselves rich as our current teleprompter in chief would have you believe.
I didn't say a republican bailed out the auto industry. I asked what would a republican have done in the same situation. My guess would be the same thing. Most of this was happening before the presidential change. I have friends that have been out of work for 2 years not 1. A lot of this is carry over. I know you believe what you want and I will believe what I want. It really is just the government in general and who we can point the finger at. I guess when I make that much money I will start to worry about it. It is tighter out there but once again it was tighter for me before Obama and it is still the same, which is what i am getting at. By the way, at least Obama can read the words on the teleprompter.
That is one of the most priceless pics I have ever seen on the web. CLASSIC. Thanks George. I think Bush did OKAY with what he was delt. The whole Gov't didn't have a problem going with him after 9/11. I can't imagine what Gore would have done with 9/11. He probably would have said that he forgives Osama and wanted it "hug it out". I'm kinda happy that all the liberals are gonna eat some crow after preaching about how great Obama was going to be. He was the "second coming". NOT! The Gov't can't even prove he's actually legal to be Pres. Hey George.... om me your email addy. I've got some great Obama emails to send ya. I think you and your chronies will dig them.
LMAO leave it to George :usflag:You always manage to put how I feel into words and that pic is priceless
For the record I am not blaming Bush, I am saying the problems that were here while Bush was in office are still here while Obama is in office. All that has changed is the guy reading the teleprompter.
