I've run that same tire size with Cobra R's, worked well, and no rubbing...Was anyone running the Nitto 555R DR 305/35/20 or 275/40/20? Trying to determine what to get.

That's just smokin' for your setup. You've got to be pleased with that number!

there was one person that i saw running them. i personally would not go that route...... get something with a little more bite imo. most of the guys i talked to liked the hoosiers!!

i am very pleased chris!!! to be able to run that deep into the 11's with just a blower on a completely stock motor is pretty cool!!!

Well, im really looking to buy a street/strip tire, but mostly street...I only plan to hit the track once in a while and I have run Nitto DR's on other vehicles with pretty good results. It will hook pretty damn good on the street for the occasional race....uh, ahem, i mean "burst". And if you heat em up good at the track, they do okay there also. Plus i won't have to buy wheels (okay, i know, im a cheap bastard). :deshade:

You think a 305 35 20 will work on stock wheels? I've read where the Chally guys run them on stock wheels, no spacer and no issues. I've seen where ujokin2 (i think) ran them on his 300 stock wheel for a while with 3mm spacers. And he said the 275 didn't hook for shit, but the 305's were much better. I can't seem to find anyone running them on a stock Charger wheel...I ran the same DR size you have a long time ago, don't recall the clearance I had with them...how much do you have....the difference in width on them and the 305/20" version is .14 according to Nitto site. Also another concern is wheel width, but like I said, others have done it, soooo...

I ran the NT05R 315-35-20's on my Jeep and ran 1.48 60ft. Great tires.

I saw them also, and would love to use them, but I don't think they would be very good for the LX being almost 29" tall, and obviously wider, doubt they would fit without spacer.
BTW, how are they for daily use?
