Hey George, when I spoke to Eric Hruza at Arrington, when I was waiting on my 426 crank to be warrantied, he said if I ordered the 440 long block I would have it in a week. He was a man of his word!! When I cracked a valvespring and blew the motor they were on it and I was back up in 2 weeks!! What Compression??

still 10.3*, but mahle pistons for some more boost and maybe some cometics to get it to 10.2. [edited - you know, now that I think about it, I think these are 10.2 as they come - small nit, but in the mahle catalog the bore is 4.090, the stroke is 4.050, and compression is listed as 10.2 assuming 6.125 rod and the other related info] They definitely stepped and delivered. Worth the time, effort and expense. You'll be pleased to know that I am going to give the springs a try while we're at it. I thought I was the only paranoid fool who noticed that all the guys touting 1.5x in the jeeps had springs. Maybe just conicidence and not correlation, (conventional wisdom might say more weight transfer is better) but riding in my bro in law's cayenne had me wanting some thing a little stiffer for handling and I am thinking maybe you're on to something. So that, the ebay headlights with my hids, motor and SHR tranny are soon to follow. maybe even a tint visor with an srt decal while i am at it. I've had one on ice since my srt experience in 08 and they are growing on me in photos I see. always on the move.....

Dont forget the bwoody sway bar links, they helped eliminate that feeling of being out of control when the beast is pulling hard!! And cornering is 10x better. I have 73000 hard driven miles and one 2hr road cource on the Jeep and I went all out at NJ motorsports. Jeep feels great now. I had the diamond pistons before and I was drinking oil like crazy. I still am good for a quart every 1k but I am hard on this motor. You know I have 12k on this 440 in 3.5 months. I still love it!! Tired of fighting over nothing!!

Got em along with the addco front and rear sway bars. Too much going on down here to get anything done. Mardi Gras, Super Bowl... Lots of plesant distractions. Devotees of Bernard "Buddy" DiLiberto will be jogging in dresses this Sunday, and there are carnival balls every night from now until February 16th.

    Good deal, watch for billing.

When do you think you'll be back up and running, wanna go to NPR when done??
BTW, Where did you get the SRT windshield banner?

Reinstall starting Thursday, but, not expecting much will be getting done over this weekend, anywhere in the city for that matter. Maybe later next week, but then Mardi Gras comes in, so sometime in later Feb looks like first track appearance.

I will certainly be getting to NPR when done and will give you the heads up when we go - short ride for you.

The banner was from my SRT Experience - came in third in overall points so I got some goodies. Had it on ice since then.

She was standing in for her boyfriend. He got the fastest overall time in the viper autocross. She had a better rack than him and was there to cheer him on.

    rack's a rack....

the SRT experience might sell them, Wade forged a # access deal with them for the dri duck jackets, maybe the visor decals could also be "pried" from their mits. You'd think they'd just set up a site with all the promo crap and drop ship them with a 30% profit for all the trouble of keeping the site. Glad I kept mine, they seem scarce.

Yeah no kidding about the SRT apparel that you can only get at the track experience. The Dri Duck Jackets are awesome I love mine and the cost is actually cheaper than buying them direct from Dri Duck. You can call the srtexperience 800 # and order whatever you want but they have to wait for the next track event to pull from inventory (I guess its hidden from them until then....)

obviously looking forward to the SHR rebuild and what it will be attached to. Certainly fun watching this get done, although admittedly the smell is not so good. a good wash in the minerals brush bin and the machining begins tomorrow....
