Best of luck TMoney and please do not put off anything like a Biopsy. No matter how hard times get you can always find your way out of it.
Okay, Marc's going out to dinner and drinks with his current boss and the new management. Here's hoping for good news.
Yeah, I'm not too worried about that. He has to actually drive home from wherever they're going. Actually at this point I don't care if he comes home smelling like strippers if he has a job.
Alright, he's on his way home. General vibe is that they're keeping everyone, but we won't know for sure until he gets an offer letter next week. To be continued...
He's home. Basically won't know anything until he gets an offer letter next week, if he gets one. Either way they are shutting down the office he works out of. So either he'll be back home looking for work or he'll be commuting some of the time to the office in San Mateo.
You said General Vibe, thats Rons new nickname now and Tam I just noticed how big that bat is on your shirt..nice.
Good luck with the transition...I'm sure it would be a bummer if you had to do the whole job search thing again. I hope it all goes well.
No news yet. The sales team is heading to Vegas for a convention on Wednesday, so the theory is that maybe there will be word when they come back. Trouble is, they're not back until late Friday. So Marc may not know whether he's still got a job until Monday. In the meantime he's making off with some office supplies and talking to former employers and coworkers about potential job openings.
Cheap smelly perfume/lotion for one thing. Like it comes off on your clothes and you smell like it until you shower and launder your pants/shirt.
It doesn't matter. I married a hound dog. That woman can tell me from 15ft which one of her friends I ran into that day. And gawd help me it's a new smell. I just Fn hate it when she has to remark her territory.
Funny, my sense of smell has greatly improved since being pregnant and having Madeline. I can tell what Marc ate for lunch and I can tell when food will go bad a week in advance. Unfortunately I can also tell from across the apartment when Madeline needs changing. I know. I know. Back on topic, more hurry up and wait action. I'm getting the impression that someone forgot to told the California division employees they're hired on at the new company. The sales guys (from the California division) were asked to fly to Vegas for a convention this week and to give presentations about the merits of the new company. Kind of elicits a "So I'm hired?" response, y'know? Still, gotta wait for something in writing, but we're feeling semi-positive about this. Plus it sounds like Marc's old boss is desperate to hire him back, so things are looking semi-hopeful at this point.
