between all the things i am trying to get ready for spring fest i had same small projects for the shop car. i would like to thank bigal470 (alex) for donating his old half covers. repainted them brilliant black and added mirrored lexan for the lettering. finally got the ABS cover painted and installed. next is to pickup the new wheels and get the intake manifold powder coated black. here is a pic of the new wheel center.
it's an '08 300srt with just some simple mods. kw coilovers some bt stuff predator tune man, after seeing these pics i realized i need to take some new pics.
Ralph, I noticed in your shot of the half covers, you did something different with your breather nozzle and filter. But I can't tell, what did you do?? Do you have a pic?? I'm having the same challenge.....my breather filter won't fit on the nozzle, due to my aftermarket half covers.
all i did was let the motor get warm then i just turned it so that the hose does not have a kink in it. on the blown motor i run a little filter and you have to turn it to get it to clear the intake tube. here is a pic where you can see it a little better.
No I know that. But I mean what's that hose lead to?? Is the breather filter on the end of it?? Where's it located?? Or does it run into the intake itself like my old K&N?? If you look in my thread I have going, you see what I've done for now, but I'm looking for other options.....
on the 300 it leads down to the intake tube. on the magnum we do not run the left side cover because of the blower.
Chase, you should be able to use a 90 degree vacuum fitting and turn it so the chrome end points up to the hood.
That's EXACTLY what I'm looking for!!! I think I know what you're talking about. Where can I find one???
my local auto parts store lets me go i the back where they keep all the hoses and just pick out what i need. i know the is a coolant hose for an import car that has a 90 in it, i use it for my catch can, and then you can trim it to any lenght you need. k&n also makes breathes with a metal tube instead os the rubber nipple so you can put it right into the hose. i could not see what breather you had in your pics.
