Finally got out to the track last night with some friends. Have not run the new set up with the Procharger HO fmic. nice weather, about mid 50's for temps. 60" - 1.72 1/8th - 7.53 1/4 - 11.60 mph - 120 left the line rather "soft" as i was not sure what to expect. my 2-3 shift was REAL sluggish!!! might be needing a trans sooner than i think! all in all it was a good night and i am looking to get some more seat time before Bradenton!!! i know there is a little left in her!! oh yeah, this was on d/r's, my usw 22"'s on the front, and full interior. 4500lbs race weight with me. little weight reduction and some more practice and who knows!!! might have to look into a cage soon!!! hahahahaha
hahhhhaa Ron, Don't throw stones in a glass house...when was it you went to the track last???? Congrats Chris!!!! Must be the LMI CAI kickin in!
Nov. 09 on my 22's. hahahaha Besides, I don't need to go to the track as I do this, ALL the time... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7dvYTf0OSU
thanks guys....... except for you ron!!!! douche!!! lol i will actually be hitting the track for the next three weeks!! need to get some seat time before the big event in bradenton in feb!!! would love to knock about another .3 off that time.... i really think i can do it!!! lol
That's excellent Chris! I have been down the track exactly ZERO times. Have you had your car on a dyno? I don't remember ever seeing you post HP/TQ numbers dude.
Nice numbers Chris..... now if you only had the Vortech instead of that slow Procharger set-up....you'ld be in the 10's already...Lol! Ron... that vid looks like me trying to get out the box at the track with my stockers... Lol!
ummmmm yeah, i am actually running a paxton blower with a procharger fmic........ although i have not seen too many stock block guys with vortechs running 11's.......... but hey, it a great kit!!! lol :shifty: thanks buddy...... the addition of the air/air has been the big difference!!! thanks man!!!
VERY nice times. You and I have similar power so I'm hoping with some drag radials I can get down into those 11.60's. And yes your trans is probably cooked. The 3rd gear clutches just can hold up to boosted motors. I've got the Builder Bill valve body in there now and she's holding up so far (two weeks since rebuild) so we'll see. Hopefully going in tomorrow for a new Getrag, beefed half shafts and a new driveshaft. Buddy made me a deal I couldn't refuse. Now enough of all this fun and get back to finishing my CAI.
yeah, i think a builder bill tranny will be in my very near future!!! your intake should be wrapped up by mid part of next week!!! thanks buddy!!! i am running 305/45/18 mickey thompson et's
Atta boy Chris. Atta boy!! I'm not surprised, you have a great setup. And this gives me hope. We make almost identical power. If I can get me some DR's, I feel like I can get mid 11's as well. So thanks for the hope, lol. I'm so happy for ya buddy. But on a serious note, your trans may "go" before the Bradenton event if you're gonna be taking several passes before it even gets here. All I'm sayin, is I hope you have a spare $5K laying around just in case.
