I have the BT CC,it is time to replace the hoses. I'm thinking about going with some nice anodized fittings and ss braided lines from summit. Who can tell me the AN equivelant to the stock 1/2" id hoses and fittings? What type of connector would I need for the pcv end to hose? Would prefer one with an angle to overcome the sharp bend. How about the upper intake nipple to hose?
Also I would like to replace the brass 90 deg fittings on the catch can with blue or red. I see Summit has some AN to 1/2" npt 90s, which AN size do I need?
    Thanks

Let's put this thread in the SRT-8 LX forum. A lot of guys will miss it here in the Detailing section. Hopefully get some good input there.

1/2" is -8 AN. AN values follow the fraction in 16ths, i.e. 3/8=6/16 --> -6AN and 1=16/16 --> -16. It is generally referred as -8 (dash eight). AN stands for Army-Navy

    Hope that helps. :thumb:

Does the fitting just unscrew from the top of the intake manifold? It doesn't look like it does.
How about the fitting in the block? That one looks like PCV valve has thread on block side and slip-on for hose.

Looks like we are stuck with hose clamps at the PCV and intake manifold connections. (Unless you want to remove the intake manifold, remove the existing connection and thread the hole.
Then maybe have a custom PCV valve valve made whith threads on both sides?)

I know Talon did a real nice job on his and he used Summit racing parts.
Summit uses Spectre Performance parts. They make a cool hose clamp that has an AN fitting look and they have the correct stainless braided hose and fittings for the catch can In/Out fittings..
It wasn't that bad on price.

I used Earls 90* 1/2" NPT to Barb fittings.Drilled the can with a 9/16" bit and tapped it with a 1/2" NPT tap. Here is the Elite can after I refitted it.......
