Some of you know that I have been a bit on edge. Ron, Cam, Wade, and Figs especially have caught the broad end of my pissed off mood. Today was my fathers heart procedure. To give you a bit of back ground my father has been fighting heart problems for about 7 years now. His first heart attack destroyed about 25% of his heart, and his second one that he actually felt destroyed even more. As of 6 months ago his hear was only functioning at about 33%. About 2 weeks ago he went in for a stress test and they discovered the same artery was showing blockage, which we found out today was 95% blocked. We were at the hospital today at 0630 to prep for his proceedure that was scheduled at 0900. They angio'd open the blood vessel and then put in a stint that overlapped two of his previous stints. Needless to say this procedure scared all of my family. There has been only 1 Mains to live past 60 and that was my grandfather who passed of a heart attack, and my father is 57. In short I am sorry to all who were caught in my cross fire of being a nut job, the stress has been killing me. -Chris
I hear ya Brother! I have been through six heart surgeries and have stints too.... then the prostate cancer.... so wonder I'm ever SANE! However, I seem to be hangin' in there and when I'm feeling down in the "dumps" I go out and mess with one of my cars.... seems to "cheer" me UP!!!
Chris there is nothing to appologize for buddy. We all understand what you're going through. Take care of your dad and I pray the proceedure goes perfectly.
Perfectly understandable, Chris. I've been feeling weird since officially living longer than my dad did (31) and now I'm looking at trying for outliving my grandmother (42). Hope things go well for your dad and that you're able to find some kind of peace or something out of all this and to appreciate those around you while you've still got 'em. Prayers and stuff for you and yours.

I know what it feels like. My heart goes out to you. I am only 29, my mom pased away at 45 almost 2 years ago, they found out I have the same heart defect she had. I went in and had Septal Alcohol Ablation, it's where they go in through your veins and burn off a peice of your heart using ethanol alcohol to kill an enlarged part off, it hurts like a bitch, oh yah they keep you awake while you are doing it. Then I got an ICD implanted,implanted defibrillator, and now becasue of that I have had to find a new career cause the one I was doing thought I was to high a risk for something happening, chicken shi*s. So like I said Chris I'm with you on that.
