Sounds nice and healthy. I am assuming the smoke was excess oil burning off the headers? And that green really looks good on the block. Well done, Erik.
Not me.....I just rented the bay in that shop and I need to clean all that crap up so I can move my tool boxes in.
Stock 6.1 balancer is 12% underdriven from a stock 5.7 balancer and since the motor won't be spun past 6200 rpm(stock rpm limit for 6.1) with the 5.7 intake manifold the decision was to use a stock 6.1 balancer.In other words it's a cheap underdrive pulley for a 5.7 based motor that does the job more than adequately just wish I had the extra time to have thrown a coat of paint on it.
