actually no..... that will be one of the biggest upsides for me. because i make them and source all components, i can keep costs WAAAAY down versus other CF offerings. i do not have big ad dept. to pay for, huge buildings, tons of overhead...... thanks ron!! you are one of very few that have actually seen the process!!! thanks tam! thanks fredrik! much thanks ken!!! something i do as a passion, not some big money making venture.
Hey Chris, Great looking intakes but right now my wife needs one of your prosthetic legs. With turbos blowing my stock motor and almost a year and lots of $$ in a faulty replacement. She has burried her natural right leg far up my ass . State Farm medical ins. feels its cheaper to give her a new one, cut the real one off , leaving it where it is, and wants me to just say I have hemmeroids when people ask. Also, do you know anything about cutting lx seats and floorboards? I thought I might just rig up a Fred Flintstone style brake for use at the track, if I ever see my car again, that is.!!
As I´m looking to put a Vortech on my Maggie, could the pressure hoses be replaced by CF ones? That would look awsome! I can see that this new business will take some time off your hands in the near future... Fredrik
no this is funny!!! even funnier, i have a few legs sitting in my garage that might work for her........ ummmm, yeah, i am sure i might be losing a little of my "extra" time!! lol as for the s/c application, i would not recommend them for the pressure side of any s/c system. the amount of clamping force needed to keep from blowing conectors loose, would crush a cf tube. remember, it i made with a resin (ethyl, acrylic, epoxy, poly, etc) and at certain heat levels, the resins will tend to soften. with the heat generated from boost application inside the tube, coupled with normal engine bay heat outside the tube, you would deform the cf tube with the amount of clamp force needed to hold things together under boost. so fredrik, the short answer is no.....lol
Chris, glad I placed my order with you now, lol!!! Pretty stoked about my intake!!! And I will need a small breather filter also, buddy. What colors do you have available in those??
Chris, Finally Fender intake, 90mm TB: Do you have plans to incorporate a nipple into the CF tube (so I don't have to run one of those small breathers)? If not I think I could make a barbed brass fitting work as long as I can get my mitts inside the tube to attach the backside. Is the filter fairly well protected from rain and crap? Where does the IAT probe stick in? Cool man!!
i can get them in silver, blue, red. i have red in stock. my filters come only in red as of now. in your case, not a biggie because you can't see it anyway!!! lol thanks!! as for the filter protection, i can supply a K&N Drycharger to cover the filter at additional cost. there about 25 bucks. i run one on mine. if you look at the pic i posted of the filter in the fender, it has one on it. kinda looks like the plastic wrapper it comes in, in the pic, but its the drycharger cover. they work great!!! as for the oil breather, i do not plan on incorporating a nipple in the cf tubes, but you could install one if you wanted to. unless you have huge banana hands, you will fit your hand inside the tubes of the fender mounts. they are 4" in diameter. the IAT will mount in the underside of the 90* elbow that turns down into the fender well. i call mounting it in the "armpit" of the elbow!! lol it hides it well, and gets it far enough away from the tb. i have tried mouting it down by the filter as i have on my s/c set up, and the differences in IAT temps were minimal compared to putting it in the "armpit" of the 90 elbow going into the fender opening.
Thanks Chris! I was wondering why your filter looked to be Saran-wrapped I'll be in touch unless I can find a way to talk my wife into Cam's setup...which would also mean relocating my catch can and brackets... Awesome job.
guys..... the 4 stuff will not be until down the line..... no worries jon, just let me know!!! thanks kyle!! prices, for CF, will be the lowest you will find for this kind of real cf!! price list will be posted in the next few days!! lol....... no arms or legs..... regular money will do just fine! and yes, the prices will be reasonable!!
You know, i just can't seem to get it right! i bought a 85mm Arrington TB(good price!) about 2 month's ago and still have not used it. Then i just buy a 90mm a week ago, and now the 100mm seems to be the way to go? DAMN IT! Then you do this! First had a MOPAR,then switched to a ARIA, then bought a R-VALUE(never used and sold to "SHOW" here on the SRTC) and was really thinking of twins but now you throw the CF fender pull up? Man, the GF is really gonna be pissed. I keep buying/selling all these parts trying to get it right! I am giving the CF fender pull some serious thought here. It's a little lighter then the "twins" and i am still laking the bottom end. Then "twins" may be the option. Great, now i got some explaining to do AGAIN!!!!!!!
adam - just tell your gf its my fault!!! lol when you see the price of my cf fender pull, it might be even harder to turn away!!! muhahahahahahahaha
hmmm... I'm thinking of going with the GF on this one. You're in the elite few that buys stuff, buys the next stuff, sells the old stuff, and never put anything on the car... :worthy: that's got to qualify for some sort of prize
Tell me about it.......Her storage room(stolen by me) now consists of a OEM srt hood, fascia, grill, 2 throttle bodies, oem fuel rails, show and performance fuel rails, intake,CTP loop,4 tires and oem rims, heads and cam, Kooks headers, mid pipes. i think thats why she is getting "testy" oh and aria and maybe a LMI intake soon. I am in trouble!!
I'm sure if you REALLY WANTED it, he'd make it. Just PM him. That's one benefit he has over the competition. He can be a little more flexible with design.
ummmmm adam...... your a great guy, but please do not put my intake in the same closet as the aria...... lol
