What spark plugs are you running with your N/A 426s? I am going to buy some new ones and am also trying to eliminate reasons (other than my knock sensors were turned off by DCXDepot) for the destruction of my first 426...i.e. hot plugs.

I know Kyle has been messing here also...not sure if his issue is plug related or not.

I am thinking NGK 2 steps colder than a stock 6.1 but maybe 1 step colder?
I dyno'd 477 RWHP and 493 RWTQ last time at SVS with toasted pistons. Been looking at the Brisks but I don't think I really need them.

    Thanks!

Yes I have Jon, and I really don't think my KR issue is plug related. I switched from NGK 2315's (1 range colder than stock)to NGK 5107's (2 ranges colder than stock).
Using the rule of thumb 1 heat range colder for every 100 hp increase, you will need two heat ranges colder plug. You went from stock 425 bhp to 550-600 bhp...NGK offers two sizes that will work. 6510's and 5107's, here is what I found out about them.
I left them gapped how they came (.050)

Your other choice with Brisk is a good choice also, just more expensive, and IMO no value added.

Ordering 5107s. Thanks Kyle. I was going to order the 6510s but didn't know there was an option nor what the difference was...cool!

If the Admin Staff would let us know there was a search function I wouldn't have to post this stuff. (LOL!!!!!)
