I had someone take my hi-flow cats off and I sold them to someone and I had that persons stock cats installed ... Now I sold the magnaflows with the O2 sensors on them .. and the guy sent his stock ones back with his stock sensors .. I also had my mechanic retune the car, remove the custom tune and bringing the car back to stock .. I drove the car for like only the 5th time since mid Sept the other day and the thing isnt running/shifting right. There is a massive shift hesitation between all gears, which maybe I'm not used to cuz the tune i had hide it .. Anyway .. the engine light came on and the following code came up .. P2098 .. Post Catalyist Fuel Time System Too Lean Bank 2 Can someone explain this .. I had him clear it, but it came back after a couple miles ...
btw .. the only things left on the car is my 2800 stall torque converter and my blue-top shift solenoids which I am going to have pulled out this week or next week. the car still has the K&n CAI and the BT ported TB .. those I am going to leave on even after I sell it as I dont have the stock parts
Check the connection from the cat pipe to the manifold.Could be an exhaust leak, could also be the 02 sensor is loose.
does "rear" or "bank 2" tell me a side I should look or a specific sensor .. also, should the flange for the stock cats mount flush to the manifold cuz mine have a small gap
Rear refers to the rear O2 sensor. The even cylinders are on the passenger side, so I would assume that is bank 2. A small gap between the header and cat flanges is fine, but it should be even on both sides.
Also if you had antifoulers and they transferred them over to the stock cats that will cause your lean code.
either a bad sensor or the connection is bad...check your connector spades, make sure they are all the way seated into the plug itself.
