So I demoulded... got the Billet Tech SRT8 side shield insert... did a little this-n-that.. combined it with a base 300 emblem... and voila.

The pics are crappy cuz it got dark on me but you get the idea. Maybe I can get better pics in the daylight tomorrow.

Love it, hate it, whatcha think?

EDIT: I replaced the pics from last night with some in the daylight. I think you can see it a little better now. The speckles in my paint always come out looking like dirt specks...

How bout now? I just switched from crappy Photobucket to Picassa Web Albums and still figuring stuff. It's much better, and no freaking ads.

Love it. You will too (demolding). I think the badge is great. Need a daylight pic.

Personally I like my badges higher, like level with the top of the wheel well opening, but maybe not on a 300.

Thanks. I never realized I liked the demolded look until last week. After I did it, the car looked naked so I thought I'd get a little creative and try to keep a stock look.

Location... specifically height... was my biggest concern. The shield is actually about 1.5 inches higher than where it was when it was part of the molding. I may end up raising it a little more.

I have mine up. But the Magnum is a bit more angular, so maybe not on a 300

(no, it's not crooked, it's lined up with the door lines perfectly. Just looks like it's crooked in this shot)

I see what you mean now. Haha and it doesn't look crooked to me. Side molding alignment, at least on the 300's, is with the bottom of the car. So once I figured my mounting height, I measured each end of the shield to be exactly 14 inches from the lower rocker panel. Level or not, it seems to be how the factory aligned stuff.

That's the badge I originally wanted.... but a few of you guys "been there done that".

Thanks bro. I'm finally getting tired of my 100% stock everything ;)

Thanks guys, appreciate the opinion! After hearing of everyone's great experiences with BT I've jumped on that bandwagon too... and NOT disappointed. Their stuff is top-notch.

When I forgot to order the threaded insert for my BT old school shift knob, I got a same day response from customer service and they're sending me out an entirely NEW knob with the insert. They coulda just sent the insert but since it needs to be tapped-in, they did it for me on the new knob and including a return label so I can send them back my old one.

BT is awesome! It's like dealing with family.

Thanks man. I think it lets the clean lines of these cars stand out. Be prepared to go to town with a heap of paint cleaner and wd40 though!

I haven't seen a good door ding thread in a long time... knock on wood.

I think it looks good, and wow - you still have the stock intake!!! Lol, there's fun to be had with letting her growl someday :)

Hahaha thanks, and yeah. Thinkin about goin all out and upgrading to the stock box WITHOUT the silencer lol.

Maybe I'm picky but I haven't found a CAI that knocked my socks off yet. I don't mind the RDP CAI, and some guys are raving about lower IAT's, but not sure if I lilke the filter so close to the ground. Love the AH but hate the price and lack of availability. AFE S2... perennial performer but don't like the fit. etc etc :D

Arrington may be a winner though.

I think maybe you were referring to the short 50% sale... and I sure missed that! Fyi for next year...

It was great but not that great :D

3 hour sale. 40% off first hour, 30% off second hour, 20% off third hour. ...and yes, half way through picking out my stuff I realized I miscalculated on the time zones and ended up ordering in the 2nd hour . got to wonder if I was the ONLY person not to order in the 1st hour...
