Ooo! I know the answer! *raises hand* Pick me! Looks beautiful man...but you're wrong about one thing. The update pics of the work you've been doing has been keeping me happy for days! Jeezus I cant stop looking at that! Its so damn pretty!
Mine is good....you will be able to rest a little easier now that you are forged up to do all your forced induction craziness haha
Be finishing it up this afternoon.Might start it tonight....definitely tomorrow.Have her ready to go for Friday.
Beautiful. I'll be up there on Friday, probably between 10 and 10:30. How much snow did you end up with up there? Imma have to dig a path to my garage just to get her back into it!
Well....all thats left is two rocker shafts a valvecover and the intake.....she'll be running tomorrow night. I would have gotten more done if I didn't have to shovel the damn driveway!
Good stuff. Looking good! I hear ya on the shoveling man, and I have more to look forward to after I come get her! Btw, how did it look in there when you initially took it apart?
looked like a 30k mile 6.1.......nothing stood out.Get a catch can though......the intake ports are nasty.
Turbos. Not soon enough! Gotta graduate and make some $. Realistically, am looking to get it goin within a year, but I guess we'll see. After I get this baby broken in, she lives in the garage! ....come to think of it, what is the break in period on this bad boy?
give it an oil change....probably not 100% necessary...but from my understanding (and E you can correct me if im wrong)....it will help get your pistons seated and give you time ot work out any bugs if there are any before you start throwing blow at it lol
Figure 500 miles of break in......don't baby it......but don't beat the shit out of it either.I will change the break in oil before you pick it up.....I would like you to change the oil 1000 miles after that.
At 750 mine woke up...you'll know when it's broken in. on 2nd oil change now, changed at 50 miles them changed at 500. Like E said...run it, but don't make it your bitch....carry 2500 RPM for a while, then down shift and hold same MPH at whatever RPM it is in that gear. Just vary and hold different RPM for prolong periods...then stick it every now and then. You'll know when it's broke in, i promise.
