I love my 06 Charger SRT-8, but with a new baby, an Au-Pair, and 2 dogs, a GC would make trips easier.

The wife veto'ed the idea because the Charger is paid for.....

I was surprised to find out no dealers have GC SRT-8's in stock within 200 miles of DC.....

Hmm....Your wife is being prudent so you must also be....plenty of very low mileage garage queens out there...you can buy a used 08 or 09 that has already depreciated that first year saving $$$$...that might give the wife food for thought....

She is against any car, new or used.....

I can get the employee price (brother-in-law works there) on it and they are doing 0% for 60 months and 500 cash back. That is over $10,000 is savings right there..... Not to mention soft cost like wear and time left on the factory warranty...

If you do consider used, maybe an SRT8 Magnum? They havn't held they value as well as the Jeeps and have almost as much room.

So it sounds like unless you get the wife's permission. It's not gonna happen. How about keep the charger and get her a Grand Cherokee SRT8.

Tsk tsk, Larry. I'm with the wife. At first, yeah the car felt stuffed every family outing. But, now that she's older we can travel lighter so the Charger worked out great. Though we don't have an au-pair. Must be an east coast thing.

    x2...

You know as much as I'd love to upgrade my ride. IMO, the best part about my skittle, It's paid for...I would side with the wife on this one.

Unless you plan on keeping the charger, and getting her the Jeep, that might be a different story.:sly:

WOW, as NICE as your Charger is.... that would have to be a hard decision to get rid of it!!! Best of luck on whatever you decide!

Having an Au-pair is cheaper than day care in DC (Hard to believe I know). And that is just one kid, you pay the same price for I think up to 4 kids....

still no success on the Jeep.....
