Finally, after 8 long months the Jeep is near completion.
Where do I begin, as many of you know my engine blew around spring feast. I saw an opportunity in engaging with a vendor who I believed I would be in good hands with. Well, sure enough the vendor closed it’s doors, and we all know who that was. I am still waiting to shoot my video of me saying I got screwed. LOL Talking about this company can go on for days, and I don’t want to make this post negative.
When it comes to my Jeep, this thing is my passion. Those that have meet me know I am all about my Jeep, and that I would not trade it for any other vehicle out there. Not having my Jeep was detrimental, I hate leaving it at the damn dealer for service for a few hours, now imagine months. When I feel stressed or pissed off, I go for a drive to calm down and for months I couldn’t. The people around me got tired of me being an asshole for so long.
We always hear the quote, “Things happen for a reason†well I was not a found believer in it till now.
As most of you know my Jeep ended up at Crank This Performance, and nothing could have been better.

Where do I begin with this damn guy, many of you know him as a ______. I’ll let you fill in the blank. Cam is a brain when it comes a gen. 3 hemi and any challenge you through at him. He took on this project with no need to help me and a few others out. Not only does he have a bad ass car, but he races it too. Till this day I tell him it wasn’t a smart move to help us out, but he doesn’t care. He shows a great amount of passion when it comes to these cars, and his work and quality is top notch. His attention to detail on the smallest things makes him a world class builder. In the pictures you may see some of the stuff I am talking about, but in person it is more obvious. Just want to say thanks bud for all the help and effort you have put in the Jeep, I know it’s a love but hate relationship you have with the Jeep, but we aren’t done. On a side note, this sema show made me damn near broke for a bit and this dude offers to give me $20 bucks because he notices I had no money. Who the hell does that? I am suppose to be paying him, WTF. Stuff like this makes me appreciate and respect Cam more as a friend.

    Now, the build:

    Techco 427 Stroker
    Techco blower
    Techco Stage 2 Cam
    Custom Front mount heat exchanger
    Paramount Performance Transmission
    Paramount Performance Valve Body
    Paramount Performance SFI Flex Plate
    Paramount Performance Transfer Case
    Paramount Performance Torque converter
    Arrington 90mm with nitrous ports
Zex pro flow Nitrous set up
    Autometer Nexus Gauges
    DMH low profile cutouts
    Billet Technologies valve covers
    Billet Technologies coil covers
Billet Technologies engine bay dress up kit
Fiber Images Medic Custom red/black Hood and Rear step
22†USW Forged Wheels (now producing wheels for the Jeep)
    Vredesteins SUV’s
    AAC LED Halo
    Bwoody Springs
    Memphis Audio

Our approach for the Jeep was not to create a show stopper, but to create something for someone that knows our rigs. Our main objective was to clean it up, make it look semi stock with some goodies, and attract the right crowd. Somebody that doesn’t know the Hemi would look at it and say it’s clean. But on the other hand someone that know the hemi would stop and be like wait a minute what the hell is going on here.

To be completely honest the whole build was put together, the day it left to sema besides the engine. We were out of time, and it never made it to the paint shop due to some back ups. The rims are coming off and are getting some finishing touches, and hopefully we could finish the rest of the gauge, cut out, tune, and a few other goodies this week. This build is no where near done and will be on the track as soon as we break the engine in.

Want to thank a couple of people:

Andy at AAC for some killer headlights and fogs, they turned out very nice. I am still thinking about getting them red when available, but for now whites will do. One of the lights came unglued and Andy took care of it, and handled the situation very professionally and made sure I had them for sema.

Bill at Paramount Performance for making us Jeep guys life so much easier. The few times I have dealt with Bill he has been very professional and if he says you will have your product in three days, it will actually be there in three days. His service is 1st class and without a doubt I am sure his products are also. Well Bill it is almost time to test your product. But how do I break it in again? LOL oh yea beat on it, I forgot.

Bismarck at USW for designing some killer directional wheels, and is an awesome person to deal with.
This dude goes out of his way to satisfy his customers and wheels are a work of art. Wheels got powder coated the wrong color and Bismarck did not hesitate to fix them, and got them done before sema.

Paulie and Fiber Images for the custom red/black carbon fiber pieces. This hood is no joke the only part I don’t like about it is that I am sure it will intimidate people. LOL Color really makes it stand out, I can stare at it for days.

Cam at Crank This Performance for helping me out and getting the job done. Long nights and missing parts can be a pain, but when it is all said and done it will be some fun stuff.

Lastly, Thank you techco, J.R. for coming through after all, and well although techco is not around no more I will be running the blower because it does make some power. Kinda, thankful it ended up at Crank this Performance also, so thanks for that too!!! LOL

Soon enough this thing will, be on the track and most likely breaking some parts. Bill be ready for my calls as we have some drive train stuff to finish up on.

Great happy ending to a long saga. I am hoping to be in the same boat within a couple of days when Cam finishes up with my car. I know exactly what you mean about not being able to drive your car, and how that can affect our attitude towards others around us.

Erik, I am so glad your long ordeal is almost all over. I can relate to all you have said, and you have stated it very elegantly. I also will be forever thankful to Cam, for taking the extra steps up & beyond the majority of vendors.

That is one awesome looking Jeep!! I know you must be one happy guy!
