Back in April I ran the 300 as I got it at the Atco track rental...the best I could get with a handfull of 1.60 60' times was a bunch of 12.0 runs at 110 mph. At that point I was so frustrated with the car I gutted the interior.....something I never do and will never do again....ran 12.0 at 112! Since then I ditched the American Racing LT's in favor of the stock 6.1 manifolds, installed the 09 5.7 heads ported by FRI,Ported 6.1 intake, and a cam that has people doing double takes when they hear the exhaust....BuilderBill was kind enough to get me one of his Nag1's when my trans started to slip and Heidi and Scott down at Billet Tech helped finish off the shiny stuff. Then to move enough filtered air to feed the Arrington 90mm one of Cams CTP Dual CAI's went on. Well the result is this.....with a set of DR's that were pretty much junk(finished the day on cords) and lots of tire spin I was able to let the car roll off the line and get it to hook part throttle then hammer it ..... Car has at least an 11.5 in it with traction....but I gotta get new tires for that to happen. The air was ok but not as good as the spring and the traction was not even close. I picked up 6mph over the spring runs which is a huge gain in power and the car still has yet to be WOT tuned.....next spring should be insane....looking forward to being back in the race series for 2010!
Hey Eric, let me know if I can give you a hand installing the new short block!! lol hehe haha :usflag:
Anything in the elevens is flat hauling. Thanks again for the head gaskets Erik...watched them used yesterday.
Killer Erik but you sound like you wont be happy until you get that 11.5 or less. Damn expensive hobby!!! Congrats.
lol, I was referring back to your first post "At that point I was so frustrated with the car I gutted the interior.....something I never do and will never do again...."
