I haven't inked the deal yet, but have a verbal agreement in principle for the 1st Annual Modern Street Hemi Shootout at Palm Beach International Raceway (www.racepbir.com) on 16 Feb 2010, the Tuesday after the Daytona 500. I'm still lining up sponsors, but Paramount Performance is already on board and I'm confident others will sign on. This is not a track rental...it is a track event limited to Modern Street Hemis who sign up via LxForums or through me directly. PBIR will promote this event via flyers at the gate the month preceding and on their web site. The driver fee will be no more than $200 and likely less than that depending on sponsor participation. Spectators will be charged $10 each; children 12 and under will enter for free. The first 50 cars to sign up will be able to race. We anticipate that the racing will all be informal heads up races arranged by drivers in the staging lanes. The gates will open at 5:00 p.m., racing begins at 6:00 p.m. and we will race until Midnight. If you want to secure your spot early, sign up below. I'll update this post periodically with details.
