We were going to wait for the new Fore fuel system to be done, but due to the time delays decided to upgrade the fuel line from the tank to the rails.

Here are some pics of the upgraded fuel line we created for Brad's ride ... it's a -8 AN size line and includes upgraded fittings from the tank all the way to the fuel rail.

We will be hitting the dyno this week to see what improvement the larger fuel line yields, and then Brad can have his ride back!

Well, the car got tuned by Johan last night (Friday) and pulled 550 RWHP at 5100.....He was going to do a last pull this morning with cooler air and engine temps.....Don't know how that turned out....

Only got 9 p.s.i. out of the Techco 10 p.s.i. pulley (that doesn't surprise me)....

Don't have torque curve yet or dyno pull sheet......

Not bad with a stock cam and throttel body and 9 p.s.i.....

Will pick the car up this week and see how it runs!!

Saw your car today looked good and sounded even better. The fuel line upgrade worked great, matter of fact Johan even turned down the BAP.

Car could definitly use a cam to control the torque curve..

All in all Johan said he was happy on how it turned out.Good luck with it bud.

Very nice, Brad. Looks like your build is pretty much in line with mine. AWESOME... hehe Congrats.

Ask Johan if he will send me your tune. lolololol How's the fuel look with the bigger line? I got mine in place, but had to disconnect due to a vapor lock issue (too close to the block/heads lol). I will reroute this coming week.

Did you notice how ridiculously stock my car looks! Dude, I haven' even taken off the body side moulding strip that protects the doors!!! To look at it from the outside, other than 315's on the back, the car is a sleeper! I need to get moving on that.....

I need to get the car back and begin the interior and engine bay cosmetic upgrades....I see there is this cool place on the east coast that makes a lot of stuff out of billet aluminum!! Been scanning their PDF catalog!!

Yep, it has turned out pretty good! I am still waiting on a fuel system (arent we all), and I would like to wait for that. Then I can do the fuel, bump up the cam, and maybe see about getting a pulley fabricated for 12-13 p.s.i. Also, I know the tranny is coming eventually.....

I have a bunch of gauging I need to get used to and I want to learn how to datalog and view.....Yeah, you should call Johan and see if he can work you a deal! Our cars are so close, you probably could use my tune!

I am interested to see what comes about after you re-route.....I need to get a hold of Chris (legmaker) and get over to his house and check out his car and see when he is going to the track the next time......cool air is coming to Florida eventually!!

Well let me know when your ready for the billet.I know someone that knows someone that runs the office there.lol

Why do you need a fuel system?Plenty left with what you have now.My self and Builder BIll,Diablo are planning a track event so stay tuned ;)

Well, call me a redneck, but I believe a system that returns fuel to the tank is a better setup. With a boost referenced regulator on there, when you set up the fuel pressures and tune you can tune through the entire range. I think it would help immensely with the issue of part throttle A/F tuning. Really, I think the return capability is almost more important than the dual or triple pump part.....ALthough I havent heard it directly with my own ears, I am under the understanding that Johan also prefers return fuel setups. If the tuner likes it, it's gotta have some merit...

I look at our returnless systems as kind of a "one size fits all".....I am 6'3", 300+ l.b.s........For me, one size fits all never holds true!!! hahaha

We put in a -8 AN fuel line so that Brad would have more bang for the buck and be ready when he puts in a cam, or other mods. :) I know he wants the Fore system, but I like that -8 size line better from the get go!

Agree'd Lisa. No need for extra pumps with the bigger line.

Now, if rad was to up his boost to 15psi or higher, then the fore system will be a must. We can thank Trojan for this knowledge. :)

Brad, what kind of timing is Johan throwing at that beast?

    Ron:

Johan told me this morning via IM that the car made 560/600....i am assuming give/take a few each way, as I havent gotten the torque curves yet. Also he said the cam made too much torque (said it was unusable?) and recommended changing cams. That was something you and I discussed and knew back in April that cams would be something to tackle later on.....

Also the pull was done in 4th gear.....i am going to post the graph as soon as I can figure it out....said the squirrely looking HP line noted the tranny is quite overmatched!!!

Johan said the tune is set at 12 degrees timing..... I know!

12*? Damn Brad, tell Johan to turn up that timing. You have sufficient fuel now. Any reason why Johan is being extremely conservative?

Well, there was a correction...He IM'ed me back and said it as at 14....He said it is conservative, but since I have 10 P.S.I. on pump gas and the tranny IS NOT happy, that is where she sits right now.

Guess that tells me that I have some room to work with even without a new cam. I think what it does say though Ron is that the Techco can make some power! And CMW builds a bad ass motor!

So, a cam, some timing, and a tranny that isn't thinking about whether or not its gonna piss its pants and this thing is 610-630 all day long!!

I do have one question, though.....How could Techco make a pulley they said was supposed to support 10 P.S.I. and it can't make more than 9 P.S.I.??? I am not splitting C hairs on 1 P.S.I., I dont know that it would make much of a difference power wise, BUT DAYUM, they can't figure out the ratio of the pulleys that will give 10 P.S.I??? Jeeez.............

Funny, my tranny has always been a happy camper.

Your boost will be dictated by Air density, Brad. I am only making between 7 1/2 and 8 1/2 psi up here in the nose bleed section. When I am in SoCal, I will see between 9 1/2 - 11 (spikes) psi.

With your humidity, it is not surprising that you are only getting 9psi. Again, Dyno's are not for gauging exact power, rather getting the tune correct.

Once you get on the street with a true load, I bet you anything you will see 10 psi religiously?

Yeah, I understand the density thing, just that I take for granted living at sea level! Yeah, I have read some of your posts on other threads about your tranny....Don't know, maybe stall speed? I have the RDP/Edge 2800 converter on there.
