A friend of mine knows a guy that purchases wreck SRT-4's for parts. So he tells me they have a set of blue sway bars but don't know what kind they are. Right there I knew what kind they had... the Mopar Performance ones. So I asked him how much for the set and hopefully all hardware is included. He tells me $75.00... so I told him, "I want them now!". So a few hrs later I went for the 45min drive and got them. They are used but new they run $484.99 so I think its one helleva-deal I got! Specs: 26mm Front / 19mm ADJUSTABLE Rear Now when I got it, the rear endlinks had some surface rust and looked like crap to me. So I spent most of today cleaning and painting to then installing. The sways have the normal road conditions wear and tear. I cleaned all the old grease off the bushings and re-greased them with Prothane Super Grease. Unto the pics... Stock vs Mopar Performance (Rear) Painted Parts Rear Installed Stock vs Mopar Performance (Front) Front Installed All endlinks were tightened with wheels on the ground
those are the weirdest end links ive ever seen. you know the welfare kit is the same thing 26/19 except the rear doesnt adjust and its $350 cheaper pretty good deal Jesus!!
Yeah I had the welfare sways so I know. These cost me less then a welfare sways and I find these better just because of the adjustability in the rear. The endlinks even on the hotchkis sways are weird, they are like dog bones. You won't find the loop on adjustable sways so the endlinks look different then the norm.
great deal, keep me posted if you run ito any other hot deals like that.....great job freshening them up too looks great
Thanks! I'm waiting to see what else he runs into :thumb:. Nope! Never have ran into that problem. This is the 2nd set of sways on my car. I've installed different sways on other SRT-4's around here and never had a problem with bolts breaking.
Any noticable difference in the handling of the car? I'm planning on replacing all my bushings and maybe get the Mopar sway bars for my car since I'll be under there.
