Especially, when they announced spinning off the ram truck on it's own. http://articles.moneycentral.msn.co...t-dispatches.aspx?post=1337558&_blg=1,1337558
Translation.... Dodge keeps its trucks and maybe minivans.... Fiat supplies the entire Car lineup.... Caliber, Avenger, and Charger are gone.... good...want to improve them?....pretty up the inside....leave the rest the hell alone... im all for the introduction of cars like the Fiat 500...dodge needs a little egg car to compete...but basically dumping all (probably all) of dodges cars is not going to win you over with the few dodge faithful....and its probably not gonna attract many to the dodge name.... Fiat would have more success selling cars if they work out the interior of dodges now...continued the brand...and sold Alpha and Fiats here Just my POV
Tell me about it...looks like I'm going to have to join my brother over on the Ford bandwagon. This :censored: sucks!!!
We can only assume that they will drop the whole car line. Till they release the models to be dropped we need to sit back and watch. Personally i would not mind if they dropped the Charger(I have mine). But then again Fiat as a partner or even the majority share holder would be a SAD DAY. Just my two pennies.
LOL you guys could always join the Mitsubisi, Honda, Nissan band wagon. hell dodge and Mitsubisi have been doing bussiness for long time. just jump on there wagon it be like you never left. the SHO ecoboost!! yeah a ford car i would consider buying. now if Ford was smart they bring the ST and RS over here.
Better hang on to the Chargers, Challys, Magnums & Jeeps...they may get to be worth a lot if Dodge bites the dust..specially SRT models....My truck aint going nowhere...:shifty:
Eh, I've got my Charger and considering how many Dodges are sitting on used car dealer lots, finding another Dodge won't be too hard for a while. As for jumping on a Ford bandwagon? Yeah, cold day in hell before I do that. They look ugly, they have a history of sucking ass and well the other Ford owners in my experience are an obnoxious combination of bad drivers, morons, and cheapskates. I'd hate to find out that's contagious. And yes, the Shelby Mustangs are alright, but that's Shelby. And yeah, the Ford GT is bad ass, but that was a car built purposefully for competition and yeah Bullitt ran around in a Mustang and blah blah blah. I will keep on buying Dodge and Mopar, even if it means buying them used or doing resto projects. If I want something other than Dodge, I'll be looking at Mercedes, used or otherwise. If Fiat wants to attempt to change up Chrysler, or gentrify Dodge, well good luck to them. I think that people who want a fuel-efficient crapbox will buy toyotas, nissans, hondas, and whatever else. People that like size, performance and attitude will buy Dodge. Dodge/Chrysler always seem to be most successful when they do their own thing instead of trying to fit in and be like everyone else. Fitting in is for losers. /rant
Agree, agree, agree, agree, agree!! now i would disagree with you on the Focus ST overseas. i accually like that one along with the SHO Ecoboost. i still hate my 68 mustang.
HAHAHAHA, I have switched over to the blue oval brigade yet...but if Fiat kills Dodge. It's gotta be them or a bowtie...:bag:
i would go bowtie anyday over a blue oval............i guess we just have to sit back and see what happens....if they kill dodge then they kill dodge.........i guess we will have to rely on the ones who take really good care of their cars when we want to go looking for a used dodge in the future...we all know who we are.
