Irwindale Results 10/15/09 List Your Times

Well only about 6 guys showed up out of 16 i had listed and about 8 SSTB showed as well with there group. The SSTB guy were all real cool and praised our JEEPS and they said the weakest thing on there rides were the trannys. It was a good showing on our part against the SSTB as most were stock and a few with CAI and we did run against a few. There fastest that i saw went 8.96 @ 80 MPH. The fastest JEEP was me at 8.19 @ 83.56 and the slowest JEEP went 8.55 @ 82 mph. The DA was 2481 FT @ 5PM and 1637 FT @ 8PM. The temps went from 85 to73 and ill list the humidity as that was the worsted factor as the temps dropped the humidity went up. The 60' were ok concidering the rain washed off the track and they didnt spray the starting line at all.

Darren (96GTS) will probably chime in later... he went 8.36 on his second to last run (about 8:30pm)... so it was humid but the track got faster.

nice to meet you Jim... maybe next time ill run the MSRT8... car was feeling really good on the way home... ran into 2 new Camaro SS's but resisted the urge to be irresponsible...

 

God damnit i wanted to go!!!

I'm out for another month or so. PM shift at works owns me. I had to do a shift swap with my buddy just to get there last night.

 

PAUL DAVE pm me about a group that rented bakersfeild last yr that wants to do another 1 this nov 14 or 21. I my go if it doesnt cost to much. If i dont go to to bakerfeild i wont be able to go to IRWINDALE till nov 19 or dec 3 as there closed NOV 24. I promised the wife ill only go racing evey 4 to 6 week lol.

 

IT WAS ALSO NICE SEEING YOU AND AT LEAST YOU MADE IT OUT TO SEE US RUN AND YES HOPE YOU GET THE MAGGIE ALL FIXED UP AS I HAD A 06 SRT-8 MAGGIE.
