ok. so i have had my wagon a couple weeks and now i am noticing things about her. i am feeling a weird thump in the rear at takeoff. you don't have too leave hard, just pulling into traffic say,and i can feel a strange thump in the back. i read on here about the bad shock bushings,so i when i was at the dealer last week i had them put it on the rack. car was clean as a wistle! i asked the mechanic about it and he knew what i was talking about and said they were fine. is it something in the limited slip or what? i want to get this figured out because my warranty is out in about 4k miles.
First I've heard that one. If it's consistent take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. About the only known "thump" we're familiar with is the one some people get when backing up slowly with the wheel hard left or right. That one is due to the front tires scrubbing -- grab, release, grab, release.
What you are referring to remembering on here is on KW V2s C/O's...It's nothing common, especially on stock suspension...may be a blown shock in the rear that's bottoming out on take off...Since you have warranty, let them sort it out till it's fixed.
stop running over the neighborhood kids... lol Could be an ESP thing? Have you tried disengaging the ESP and trying?
negative on the prostitute, but funny! i haven't been able to catch the little basterds yet. and i will try the esp thing! i have too take it back for an interior trim problem,so i will hit them up on it again.
update! i called the dealer yesterday and told them i was bringing it in today. the mechanic rode with me and it done it like four times before we got out of the lot! after two hours of them looking at it,ends up it is a broken motor mount! when the motor moves the exhaust is lifting and the driver side resonator is hitting the body. they ordered the mount and i have to take it back next week or so. maybe this will help somebody out down the road!
just for your information, unless your car has been modified, it didn't come with a limited slip differential - they were only added to the SRT LX cars in 2009, and it is surely needed
