These heads will yield approximately 10.75 compression with a stock gasket or 10.4 using the 5 layer gasket trick, custom thickness gaskets are also available if different compressions are desired.

The big chamber option will additionally help with power so they will be a good choice for 5.7 based strokers with 6.1 intake manifolds. Working with CP pistons we currently have a dome or reverse dome design for the 09 head so I can do matching pistons for stroker engines with this head combination and dial in any compression desired.

    * $600 refundable core charge applies if not installed by one of our Authorized Installers

    ----------
    *
What were known as our "Big Valve Heads" have been replaced with the "Premium Big Valve Heads" line. The new Premium Big Valve Heads have the Manley valves with the pro flow shape. Sizes are 2.10"/1.625 for the 6.1 and 2.02/1.575 for the 5.7 head.

The new Manley valves will be running single groove locks with high quality Crower keepers and retainers which blow everything else we've seen away in quality. Essentially, the Premium Big Valve Heads are the best quality components that we can source with the Manley valves and Crower locks and retainers.
    ----------

If the intended valve lifts are under 0.580/0.566" exhaust for the 6.1 heads and 0.566/0.566" for the 5.7 heads the OEM 6.1 springs are the best option, as they have sufficient rate for the fast ramp cams that are out and are the most reliable springs available. (if it's not broke don't fix it!) For higher lifts contact us for the various options in valve springs, locators, seals.

$250 - upgrade to Ti retainers (note this price may change with Ti pricing due to war demand)

$100 - Spring locators for Comp, PAC, Manley or Crower springs

$25 - Valve seals for use on cam lifts over 0.570"

$275 - PAC 1220 intake spring upgrade on 6.1 heads, uses Crower spring on exhaust side, (above locators and seals required with these springs) will handle valve lifts of up to 0.635 intake and 0.610 on exhaust side.

$325 - PAC 1520 intake spring upgrade on 6.1 heads, uses Manley spring on exhaust side, (above locators and seals required with these springs) will handle valve lifts of up to 0.635 intake and 0.610 on exhaust side.

$225 - Manley spring upgrade on 5.7 heads (Also, requires spring locators and seals above)

$175 - Crower spring upgrade on 5.7 heads (also, requires spring locators and seals above)

$325 - Coated cyl head chambers and valve faces with ceramic thermal barrier coating

$225 - Coat valve stems with molly disulfide dry film lubricant.

$385 - Camshafts, custom or standard

    $385 – 3.5L HO V6 camshafts

    $285 - 2009 "EAGLE" 5.7L VVT Camshafts

    $3150 - 370/5.7 ballanced rotating assembly (outright)

$4550 - 370/5.7 short block with core exchange on block

    $3150 - 383/5.7 ballanced rotating assembly

$4575 - 383/5.7 short block with core exchange on block

    $3250 - 400/5.7 ballanced rotating assembly

$4495 - 400/5.7 short block with core exchange on block

    $3225 - 392/6.1 ballanced rotating assembly

$4595 - 392/6.1 short block with core exchange on block

    $3325 - 418-426 ballanced rotating assembly

$4595 - 418-426 short block with core exchange on block

Note: since we use custom CP pistons with all our rotating assemblies and short blocks we can provide pistons for any desired compression ratio, ring package, wrist pin size and bore desired at no additional cost. Additionally, I can adjust compression heights for stroke lengths not shown above such as stock stroke all forged settups or destroked engines.

    $125 - 9310 tool steel wrist pins
$125 - WPC surface wrist pins (required with unbushed rods)
$750 - Upgrade stroker kits to Manley Pro I beam lightweight rods

Wow, that's a lot of options. Do you have any pics of a ported or ported and coated 6.1L intake?
    Thanks.

Yeh, I have quite a few ported and coated intake pics. I'll get some together. The barrier coating just makes the inside flat black so it's hard to see the porting so I'll post uncoated porting photos and then some coated photos. Can someone tell me how to post photos up?

While you're at it, why not also take out the PR&D and replace it with Inertia Motorsports wherever you see it (like in the title of this thread). Just seems the right thing to do.

    Thanks for your help!

Pflugerville, just north of Austin. I don't know that I would call it a store. I do all the engine building, shipping and installs when we do them from a machine shop that I have behind my house.
