Does anybody know where I can find info on how to deconstruct my headliner and associated parts?? I'm not worried about covering it correctly (as I'm anal retentive beyond belief). I'm just concerned about the tear down process. I've had my suede paid for, for over two months now, just sitting at the upholstery shop. My transmission woes, postponed my custom interior plans. So since the fabric is paid for, I thought I'd try to tackle the headliner and pillars on my own, and leave the seats for the shop. Do you guys know where I can find any info on "how to" do this?? Or have you guys done it on your own and have any advice?? :thanks:
I found a some things on LXF, but not a step by step. My main concern is popping out all the hardware pieces, like the overhead console, trim, etc, without ruining it. If I can get past all that, I'm home free. I'm not worried about my own skills wrapping the thing.
Chase, Send Ken (Talon) a PM. Ken has redone his headliner and probably has some great information for you.
It supposedly will come out easiest on the passenger front. From what I've herd, it will not come out the back without bending. Don't know if you have taken the eyeglasses holder out but it just pops out. You will think you broke something when it "pops" but it's all good.
Damn....wish you came through SoCal Chase we have a 20 year old out here that does interiors for cheap Wrapped mine in suede and painted all parts for $300 and same with my friends Chrysler for $270 You can do it bro!!! I believe in you! No big deal
Gees, c'mon Chase, use the search function man. It's right here in the How-to section. http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15824 .
Chase, I had my interior done in LA by California Upholstery. I know for sure that the sunroof needs to be removed. Ken
