OK lets hear it. Thinking about moving in the coming months. Tell me what states have the best mix of good weather, good cost of living, reasonable housing, and the easiest smog rules, and great DA with good drag strips. Not asking for much. We are in Seattle till Tuesday. Over and out.
x2 if you don't mind the humidity in the summer. The north east has the best tracks and air but we have the same smog rules as California......so you best be able to pass OBDII
Georgia's Smog rules are a joke, compared to Califronia...H3LL there are some counties here that don't require smog checks. The weather isn't too bad, you have all 4 seasons, one note of caution, if you have allergies, spring time SUCKS!!! IDK about the DA, but we do have a nice dragstrip(NE of Atlanta)... That would be great...if you could drive on the roads for more than just 6 months of the year.
I live 50 miles North of Charlotte NC and other that the summer humidity, I love it here!!!! You just have to stay OUT of Charlotte!!!
yes, but those roads are too twisty and dangerous to even reach high speeds. forget about va. i get tickets every other day it seems for exhaust. supposedly you arent allowed to modify your car, or at least your exhaust.
Nope, not any more. They rescinded their "no posted speed limit" areas a few years ago. Most of the interstates are 75 mph with a mixture of 60 - 70 mph secondary roads.
Texas really yes it gets hot but not too terribly cold, tracks are open year round and they are all over the state depending on what county you live in emission testing is about non existant here cost of living is one of the best in the country and the best part I LIVE HERE!! Look what was just built during our so called recession dont think any other states besides NC Zmax track would of done this if they did not know it would work. http://www.dallasraceway.com/
X2 Florida.. NO EMISSIONS! Tracks open all year.Roads are smooth .Houses are going cheap.Check out Port St Lucie,Vero Nice areas..Good luck on your choice.
FL also has those secondary roads that run dead straight for miles through the orchards. Might be good for Hal. You could bungee cord the steering wheel and take a nap while you're getting there.
