For anyone who doubts the ability of the 440 to withstand abuse you can rest easy!! I am doing everything in my power to test this longblock. I made 45 passes at an Atco track rental today. There was a mopar track event that I was luck enough to have off and get invited to. I hot lapped the beast nonstop for like 2 hrs. I mean make a run, come back and go again. Occasionally someone in front of me. My dashawk reads 192 temp when i take off, about 214 at the end of the track and 189 by the time i line up again. and again and again!! I wasnt even picking up timeslips just launching!! My Paramount performance Tranny/transfercase/valvebody was chirping 2nd and 3rd all day. I have a slew of 11.6 passes best being 11.63. Very difficult hooking up with all that power. I couldnt even dumb launch it without spinning the drag radials. Had a great time and now its time for SLICKS ! Thanks to AJ, Builder Bill and Eric Hruza at Arrington for a sick beast!!!
WOW!! 45 passes. I'm jealous. I don't think I have 25 passes on my car, total. OK. Let the wise cracks begin.
