For the low boost you plan on putting down and the fact it is a street car I would stay water/air..no need to do air to air and mess with fabbing all that up. Over 700 RWHP has been seen on these cars through the water/air, and on other rides we have seen over 800 RWHP with no issue.

Still Kris name what the weakest part of that supercharger set up is? I would say the heat exchanger sitting on top of a head. I know its doesnt get that hot etc. but still it cant be that good

yeah kris, but in my case the water air set up is crap. lucky for me, the procharger ho air/air will be a pretty much bolt and go change over. iat temps are brutal for me, and i know could improve even over the vortech air/water set up. i agree with you though, if i had a vortech set up with the way the blower is set up, i would probably not go through the head ache of trying to custom do air/air set up. for the paxton blower like mine, it will be pretty easy!!!

In your case that is true, the Vortech Water/Air is a different story trust me...
the GSM Aftercooler was a joke for sure.

All this is getting confusing! what I'm looking for from the blower is a additional 100 RWHP + or -, not 200 cutting edge! I would also like to not have my motor blow! I usually go out and have a couple WOT runs a day! A fast DD! I'm not in competition. and as far as the Nitrous, that will be to get some low E.T'S. THATS REALLY WHAT i'M TRYING TO ACHIEVE. THANKS.

I would still get a huge air to air but I guess that's just me. If u keep the air to water upgrade the ice box to a few gallons. And you can also upgrade the heat exchanger.

don't worry john, i am with you!!! lol

air / air will cool the intake air much more rapidly when the car is at the same speed as air/water....... when sitting, not so much, but even under nominal speed, the intake air will cool off much faster than trying to cool off water in a heat exchanger, then run the intake air over it. not to mention the air/air is much simpler...... no water pumps, hoses, resv. tanks, etc. i am looking forward to ditching mine soon!!!!

which parts????? lots of options...... just need to know what to ask and which parts we are refering to! :)

also you can only cool water down so much. I think the water to air is more of a track set up becasue you can lower the temp with ice. For DD I would want a air to air. My water in my ice box while DD gets really really warm and I have a HUGE heat exchanger.

Since I've talked to you about the power level goals you have in mind, I'll chime in as well. My advice ... stick with the standard Vortech water/air cooling system that you already own. I have run the water/air system on several cars (with way less c.i. engines) and have seen it put out WAY more power than you're trying to achieve. I know the water/air system has been FULLY tested on a 426 stroker, and has safely flowed over 900 hp through it. You won't run out of water, but you can run out of air depending on where/how you're driving.

If Adam and Trojan are running 10's on air/water and Adam can drive his car across the country then that is enough for me!

I LOVE the ice box setup that's why i'm going that route

    BUT

the nitrous foggers on air to air works well too.....

    Lisa suggested this for me....

depending on funds later on it might be possible :)

mounts to the radiator up front on the vortech system.

This is a whole new question? like I posted, I already have a Nitrous Outlet Group 10 Set Up installed already, I went with twin 10lb bottles and warmers, a progressive controller, etc. A month ago, A.J. (Hemituner) was tunning my new stroker, while at the Dyno, I bought a used in the box 90 MM Arrington Throttle Body from a member at the shop! instead of going thru tunning my Nitrous Setup, I told A.J. I would wait until I had my new 90MM machined for Nitrous Jets! So , now that I'm waiting for the 90 to get finished, I buy this Vortech Kit? Will my Arrington 90 MM TB work with the Vortech? and what crazy shit do I have to go through now? In my opinion, the simpler the better! I just want to have a reliable SRT8 300 426 Stroker w/ Nitrous and a Supercharger, that I can go and have a hell of a good time with and as few headaches as possible! If setting this up the right way gets to expensive, I'll buy a part at a time , over a couple months, I'm in no rush, just prefer to do it right the first time! Sorry for all the confusion, I'm working a lot of hours lately!

Since the Vortech forces air "IN" it won't help as much to have a 90mm tb.....

As for making them work together....notthing that a custom tune when u slap on the Vortech can't fix

Might be better off selling the 90mm

You will need a new silicone coupler

It doesnt go on the water to air exchanger up on top of the motor....

the system comes with a small radiator that goes up front by the grill....that radiator from what lisa tells me is what that nitrous system is meant to keep cool.

for more detail you'd have to PM Lisa lol

Sorry buddy but i just laughed when I read this one hahahaha :friends:
