curtis - congrats on the debadging!!! looks way better i am sure!!!! as for the various versions..... i tried them all after you sent me 16 and 17. i found 18 to be waaaaay to soft in the shifting. 16 was the firmest, but 17 was still firm, like my b&g stage II was, but 17, at least imo, had the best "drivability" of the three. i like 17 the best. i set it with 3% fuel increase across the board, raised shift points, raised speed limiter. i LOOOVE my car even more, if that is possible!!!
A lot of people don't understand that ABS doesn't necessarily mean you can stop in a shorter distance. But, you CAN steer the car with ABS! That is the most important aspect of ABS.
Don't worry about that...Mark is one of Uncle Sam's dirty little whores. He's single and pulling in $500-$600 a day while in the box!
Curtis, you said you were going to quit. You must have halucinated this 'cause your sig doesn't look any different at all :bang:
I may have misunderstood what Erik was saying then. My Pred version that I'm using (16a) has the ESP disable that eliminates ABS, Stall TM, but not the TM during the shifts. It is more geared towards the dyno and nothing really else considered safe. I ran this at the track in August, and at least for me, it made no difference whatsoever...so I re-engaged the ESP. I did however use it during my dyno-tuning session where we modified the canned 93cai. I thought someone was talking about the shift torque management was eliminated much like the B&G (Stage II is reduced and STage III is eliminated)...this is what I want for my track tune but I think it was Mike from Diablo who said it bangs the gear and feels like the car was hit by a train locomotive. That`s what I need lol. I know this can be done through CMR tuning.
Congrats to all of you who have jump the broom and married the predator including myself. It is a wonderful tool to have but please be very careful not to over do it. To get the full potential out of the predator you need to get her dynoed. From the data on the dyno you will be able to maximize your beast to full perfection. Good luck, have fun, kick a$$, and be safe. Jay
oh yes jay, good points!!! i will be trying to make an appt with the guys at diablo sometime after the first of the year to spend some "quality" time on their dyno for some tuning!!!
FYI.....about TM and Predator ans what "CMR" stands for. My question in Diablosport forum: "You said the Predator could "reduce" Torque Management. Where in the Predator menu is this setting and is it in all versions? Is there a menu map for the Predator? It would be nice if we could see and adjust tunes on the PC with the DS downloader software. This way we could print and compare settings to make sure we are not missing anything. Does this ability exist in the custom tune software? Oh yea....what does CMR stand for?" Mike@Diablosport answer: "There is a menu map posted in a sticky here, that was made by XEryder on the LXforums, and there is a thread there with that info as well. TM is reduced in the tunes, there is no further end user adjustment in the Predator. As for editing tunes on a PC, that is not a handheld type of feature, that will have to wait for single user versions of CMR (ChipMaster Revolution)."
