1pc flat black vinyl roof - hood rally stripes

well as i said in my previous thread, i just finished changing the 3 pc flat black vinyl to a 1 pc. this time i did it with the installer and i think it came out perfect.
i only ran the rally stripes on the hood and not the rear, because i figured my 3 pc spoiler would break it up.
the pictures dont do it justice, it looks killer in person.

ok, i spent this morning cleaning her in/out. took her out for a ride and took some pix. the last time i posted these pix on the flat black vinyl roof and hood rally stripes, there wasn't any light. well, i took some pix today in the sun light and i'm not sure if i'm feeling the hood rally stripes now. they seem to clash with the cf hood and makes the hood look to busy. i don't know? i'll post the pix in a few and you guys and gals let me know what you think? i'm still going to do the rocker stripes and i'll probably decide then, whether to take the rally stripes off or leave them on.

It's kinda hard to explain it. It just reminds me of a kid with a Mustang who's trying to slap to many things on his car. Like he's tying to hard. Know what I mean?? And your car is RIGHTEOUS and beautiful. The stripes just seem to contradict the "simplicity" of your sled. I hope this makes sense.....

i would have to agree with you on the hood stripe. took some pix today and it clashes to much with the weave. at least it's just temporary. i can't wait for the cf roof to go on and some other parts as well. i'll leave for a while and see if it grows on me or not.

here you go. spent a few hours cleaining her up. didn't take to long, since she's always clean.











i've got to see it with the rocker stripes. i feel like i need something to even it out at the bottom half of the car. now i'm going to run into the same problem when i put the cf roof on. the last time i did a test fit with the 1st cf roof, it looked a little odd. the cf made your eyes focus down the center of the car and broke it up. so i've been trying to figure out a way to even it out. having the black vinyl roof is going to help me, when i get the cf roof on. still undecided on the roof spoiler, whether to paint it semi black or leave it silver. i figured it would give it a step appearance with the deck lid spoiler being silver. not to sure. still trying to come up with ideas. any thoughts?

dammit! we just have to much in common.

 

I think that I figured out a solution to my rally stripes. I'll post pix later today and I shoul have the rocker stripes on as well.

 

I think all the black parts should be the same, either cf or flat. The spoilers should be the same also.

 

Personally, I'm not feelin' the black stripes on the black hood...it takes away from the over all look of the car. It wakes the hood too busy, or out of place, or just off somehow. IMO.
