I installed my $50 used DC f/u strut bar a few days ago and this may sound crazy but I have to say that my wheel hop has been reduced by about 50% or so. i did not think it would do that. it has removed the creaking in the dash over my driveway though. any thoughts? or i am just thinking it helps. :bs:

Upper, Lower and tranny solid mounts. I have bwoody on my car and love it. Also there is an H-Brace... next thing you can do is get better struts and springs...

i have to say, having done mm's, struts, springs, and strut bar none of them reduced wheel hop like going to 245 wide tires, if they are not losing traction and trying to spin, they are not gonna hop. IMO the first mod anyone should do to the srt is throw some wide ass tires on.

Whats a DC f/u strut bar?

Front strut bars pretty much do nothing on our cars from what I have read. The Pwerks 3 point one helps a bit with the front end flex.

x2 on the wider tires...I love my 225's. It's been a long time since I accidentally broke traction.

lol just move up to 245's

my next step is 265's :)

on 225's of the same exact tire i would leave lots of rubber on the street until somewhere in 3rd.

    f/u

f/u is short for i'm too lazy to write "front upper" and I would completely disagree with you on the upper strut bar's F&R. I have a 98 Neon R/T with the cheap ebay ones and there is a night and day difference in handling with them on and off. helped cure the oversteer issue mine was having. now she is planted even with the crappy "T" rated tires. cant wait to get some "V" rated.

there is no way in hell you are getting 245's to fit on anything less than a 8in rim, the stockers are 6in. i'm pretty sure the stock srts can fit a 35 offset 17x8in rim with a 245 with no problem, acrs have to trim a bit of steel.

IDK...never under estimate the power of stupidity. When I bought the Mrs GT Cruiser, the "gentleman" who owned it prior to us put 235's on the GT's 6" stock rims and suspension.:bang: Of course, maybe that was 'cause he couldn't get the 245's to fit.

For the record...I AM NOT RECOMMENDING 235's!!! The tires ALWAYS looked flat, even with 45 PSI. So safety issues aside, the tires are going to wear really bad, and probably really quickly...so stick to the proper application, IMO.

two fifteen (sorry blackberry is broken so I have no number keys) anymore than that and you'll end up with a tire that wears horribly and handles even worse.

Edit: nope stockers are 17x6 acr rims are 16x7
