Ive worked things out and I can keep my srt, so I want to do the basic mods catback CAI ECT. Spend around $2000 on things I want the loudest but still able to keep a good sound cat back I can get. From what ive heard the loudmouth is prob what im looking for but I don’t know any opinions? And as for CAI I was looking at the AFE CAI but again I don’t know much about mods any help would be much appreciated

Ah, catbacks and CAIs. Two of the more hotly debated, contested and bickered about mods you can do on an LX. I recommend going to some M&Gs if you can and window shopping. Also, everyone's opinion of loud is different.

I like Zoomers and was lucky enough to get an Airhammer before all the drama. I know the Corsa exhaust and Mopar intake are pretty popular in terms of being sort of middle of the road and easy on the warranty.

Just expect lots of free advice and personal testimonials and take it all with a grain of salt. In the end, you're paying for it and you're stuck with the results.

That's a really good deal bud. But why don't you look at what High Horse Performance has to offer as well as All USA. Both are vendors here.

I have to ask, what are your plans. Are you just looking for a little bit of extra umf, or at some point in time will you be going heads/cam and all the other goodies. Sometimes it's best to step back, put some forethought into it and spend a little more up front for parts you'll only buy once. Luckly at this stage, the only thing you'll wind up replacing will be the CAI if the bug bites hard.

call HHP he will hook you up with what will be best for your car at the price you want to spend. But as everyon will say CAI, Predator, exhaust and a CMR tune should be in the range you want to spend. The exhaust is the issue on the price plan you have.

Pretty much what they all said. your going to get about a hundred different suggetions. all have been debated all over the net. Best bet is to hit up you tube and figure out what you like.

If your looking for a nice muscle sounds i'd go with the cragar setup on the exhuast. CAI wise i would reccomend JLT or AFE, either hooked up with a predator is going to give you one big smile on your face.

I still say that for my money...just putting flowmasters on it gives you the best "bang for your buck"

here are my Flowmaster super 44's...thats it....i put high flow cats on and that made a slight change for the better...a little deeper....(i have HF cats for sale...fairly cheap ;) )....

You can get both Super 44's for around $150-200 depending where you get them from...and then CAI's (as will be stated) is pretty much whatever looks prettiest to you as they wont make that big a difference...

So my advice (totally MY opinion)

Flowmasters in place of your mufflers....

Cut out the resonators at the back....

    Put on some HF cats....

    Get a nice pretty CAI....

    Call it a day

    Under $900 installed....

yeah really im just looking for a little bit more power for around that $1500-$2000 mark and i figured the tunner, cai, catback, 180th. would give me that little bit of power im looking for.
and ive thought about doing heads cam or supercharger or sts turbo but to get it done right its all around 6- 7grand and its alittle more than i want to spend right now im still in school so i dont have a ton of money but some how i did have enough to buy and own my srt lol maybe one day on another srt but most likely not this car bc i already have 32,000mi on it and if i do any heavy mods i would like to starts with a fresh car if you know what i mean

who should i talk to at HHP???

and for the exhaust the loudmouth looks like it would be best for me does any one have the loudmouth system on their car?

It would give you a little more umph....not much but if your JUST doing CAI/Exhaust you wont get too too much...

with a good tune, CAI, Exhaust you can expect to see roughly 385-410rwhp depending on the air, tune quality, and flow of everything....

PM me if you wanna talk about the Cats....

that is 100% doable on a $2k budget

I'd say get the SLP's, Get a pretty CAI, Get a REAL tune in the car, and you should be a happy camper

if you want pure loud and dont mind drone....SLP Loudmouth 2's are for you....

I am thinking about getting them myself ;)

Can't go wrong dealing with BMC, great people always around on the forums, excellent customer service, and plenty of LX products...Definitely a top tier vendor.
