I haven't been driving it as much as normal since my move to Atlanta. Today I started it up like I always do (I usually always let it warm up and crank the A/C while I smoke a cigerette) and I had the following lights stay on Fuel, brake, battery, oil, and water temp. These lights stayed on until I got to the daycare (less then a mile away) to pick up my daughter. I shut the car off, went inside and got her. When I started the car back up the lights didn't come on again. Any ideas? Battery about to die?
Damn John. Probably the battery had low amps. Once it chraged up and the pc was happy again, it cleared itself.
I have never smoked in either of my Magnums, Our 05 R/T or the 06 SRT8. I also do not smoke in the house either, And have encouraged my parents to quit smoking in their house too. I don't want my daughter to grow up being forced into a car or house clouded with smoke like when I was growing up. Thats probably the case, but it was the first time this has happened since I bought the car. Nope no codes what so ever. I do need to take it into a dealership soon though and have the A/C and fans checked. Everytime I start the car after its been sitting all day and I crank the A/C I always get this loud grinding sound for about a second shortly after starting the car.
Good on ya there! I can remember when my stepmother used to choke us out in the car going places and when we asked her to roll down the window she would tell us "You can't smell it"...
I remember when my parents caught/found out I was smoking, when they asked me why... I told them "Atleast I have a filter now" there was nothing they could say to that. Wish I would have quit back then though, that shit is a royal pain to try and quit.
Happened to me once. I restarted it and it's never happened again. That was 10000 miles ago...but, I did have to change my battery later on. No problems since and I chalked it up to the PCM wigging out briefly lololol.
Believe me I'd love to, but until I find a job its probably not the best idea to have any fun in the car. Especially through downtown Atlanta!
Amen to that! You have know idea how much I detest the roads down around Tech! I think my car actually looks forward to sitting in the garage after rolling around here for a week.
not exactly what I was talking about man, I was refering to blasting through downtown (I75) when theres no traffic!
I just got a new battery. Before that it went dead enough pretty often that it wouldn't start. Never had any strange lights. After changing the battery I had it serviced (oil change). Restored to stock, service, reloaded tune. Day or two later My ESP and BAS lights stayed on. Turn off and restart didn't make any difference. I reloaded the tune again and haven't seen them since. If the car fired up I don't think it's a voltage problem.
Oh...well, with all the construction on the downtown connector right now. I wasn't aware that there ever was a no traffic time. :rofl2:
