With me in my car with a 1/4 tank of gas my car weighs 4720. (I have about 310 pounds of stereo in the trunk, so no.... I don't weigh 500 pounds!). With our stockers being 4200 +/-, I know our engines are iron block with aluminum heads so they are not as heavy as they could be. Where is all the weight coming from? Is it beefed up safety? I know our front doors and front seats aren't light, but the two extra doors shouldn't make that much more should it? Is there a way of putting our cars on a "diet" without reducing any safety features? Or are we just out of luck...? I gues we could be getting the Camaro 3 to 4 star crash ratings...Lol!
Yeah, sure you have 310 LBs of stereo equip...:bs:...:shifty:.....................................safety is probably the driving force to all the weight........odd though my truck is only 700LBs heavier than your car...:hmm:
Whatever the extra bulk in our cars is, it sure isn't enough to prevent Vortech from blowing up the fucking engine!
damn drew..... go on a diet.... i just put my car on the scale last weekend at the track...... 4450 with me in it, 1/2 tank of gas.
Drew, btw: if you ditched the torsos in your trunk once a month, you'd drop 200lbs! * we all know it's the nice, quiet, 'apple pie types' that do the killin'!!! Lmao!
Also Drew, shouldn't you be watching the criminals?!?! While you're busy typing car shit, they're figuring out how to escape and cut your throat! * wake up courtesy of 'work Momo'
If that does it to you, you best not go to Drews place on Halloween... His costume consists of a rope, string, ball gag and a closet to hang himself in... He always was a big fan of Carrarine! Lmao!!! Chris I shit you not! Some of the whacos I've arrested (the homi/suicidal fucks) go under Drews care! He gets to deal with the cream of the crop! We are talking a more contemporary version of the hospital in silence of the lambs shit!
My car weighted 4930 at the track (I am 6'3", 320) but I have a 6 point cage and a super charger setup adding about 200 pounds from previous weights in. According to Legmaker I weight too much to be a driver.
These are not mutually exclusive statements. and Jason, I don't think you should be able to do any more public crying untill you give us a post mortem.... What exactly was the extent of the damage? What was the result of whatever cause analysis was done? What route did you take to fix it? (and... no, "it got hot and blew up" doesn't cut it)
Ya.... but you're only four feet tall... ***sitting quietly weighing the powder for his self loaded rounds***
My friend, as with anything Momo, there's no clear cut answer. The true cause was never diagnosed, although it is known that it overheated... What caused it? The blower. Why did the blower cause it? That's the part that'll be forever unknown. Why? Because I got fed up with trying to deal with Vortech and took another route for the fix. That route I can NOT disclose because the person(s) who helped me wish to remain anonymous. Could I have waited and went with the Vortech fix? Possibly... But I had to do something and seeing how they weren't excited to help, and I didnt have $1000s to pay for a tear down, I pulled the trigger and made a command decision. They wanted to talk to ralph for his opinion and that wasn't good enough, so instead of wasting more time and $...
Most of them are in four point restraints...Lol... the rest are shackled to their nice little METAL BEDS!!!
