Sorry, but I have to go with #2. It shows a clearer subject a bit better composition. The silohette is also kind of lost in #1 due to how intense the sun was. They're both great though. A little crop can make the composition stronger in #1. Here is one with the kids a beach as the primary subject. And one with the sky and sunset as primary. Man, I need to stop spending so much time on my car and start taking pics again.
number 2.... The sun destroys the subjects in number 1. If you want a true silhouette take number 2 and play with the darkness a bit. However as it sits I like 2 the most
great shots, the only things i would have done differently, is using the rules of 4, do not have the kids centered with the son. play with your angles and you should be able to get a nice silhouette effect. here are 2 edits, i did of number 1, hope you dont mind!
Thanks for all the votes guys...looks like this one is going to be a hotly contested battle. At least IF she wins, it doesn't look like she'll get another runaway victory. Keep the votes coming. Gabe, those edits look really great. I have only just recently picked up photoshop elements 6, so I haven't really invested much time in the photo editing arena. I am slowly working on it though. :bigwink:
