Well, I was looking over my car today, and I noticed my Punisher emblem was not flush to the car anymore (or close to it) as it used to be. I went to press it in and low and behold, bloop it feel off lol.

Now I looked at the Double Sided Sticky Tape on the back and it is just not sticky anymore, heated up or not, it just doesnt work. Now I dont want to remove this stuff and make a mess of things.

So, my next question is, what do I do next? I love the Punisher emblem (even though it is more purple in the sun than black lol) I would not like to lose this and put the Gay Ram back on it.

    Let me know guys!

By the Way, I still think your product is top notch and want more of it on my CSRT4!

Yes. but you have to get the old tape off. 1) it would stand off too far with it and 2) the old tape is likely to split, 3) that's if the new tape sticks to it.

If you clean both surfaces really well (back of the emblem, and the surface it sticks to) and get some new 3M tape applied, you shouldn't have any issues.........

3M double sided moulding tape will work wonders. Its used on pretty much all OEM emblems and body moulding, and its made for the outside of your car so it should hold up well.

3M gray double sided adhesive foam tape will suffice.. you will need two large pry bars to get it to come loose..

used it on my eyelids and it will break the plastic before it lets go..

here is how the emblem and car look now

emblem sitting next to where it should be lol

Notice the purplish color on it. It is not jet black as it used to be.

Again, I am not faulting Billet Tech, I COULD have installed it wrong and didnt handle it right, but its been on the car for over 15k miles and held up until now and all. And the color thing happened slightly over time.

That doesn't look so good Goober. You should try to put it back in the emblem hole... :D

Mine was never absolutely jet black but it hasn't changed color at all after more than a year in the CA sun. You using some polish that blocks UV? I'm using Zaino. Pulled the side moldings off after a year and a half and there was absolutely zero paint fade.

We offer a one year warantee on all of our anodized products. As for the tape,Im wondering if someone tried to steal it as i have never NEVER heard of any of our
emblems falling off.The tape we use is from 3m but not the stuff you buy in a store
We actually buy it straight from 3M.

Throw it in a box and send it back with your contact info and I will take care of it.Thanks

Goober said something about eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while doing the install but he swore that he wiped his hands on his pants before handling the tape and wiping off the depression before he stuck it in there.

mine got a bit purple too, but i screwed it down really tight and it hasnt moved or fallen off in the 2 years ive had it.

i was told back then not to put any kind of polish on it but just oil.
