    Hartzheim Dodge closed up shop.
Normandin Chrysler/Jeep (1 block away) is picking up Dodge service.
Reyes Portillo was one of the service advisors at Hartzheim who a number of the Viper and SRT8s used (I always dealt with his brother Mario). Mario got laid off at Hartzheim months before they closed. Reyes was one of the senior SA's and was there till the end. Reyes went to Normandin as a SA and is handling the Vipers, SRT8s and Dodge trucks. Steve Rodgers is the service director. Steve said most of the Viper techs are on Reyes' team. Said they're picking up a lot of Vipers and Dodge trucks.

Went by today to schedule a service, meet Steve, and check the place out. Nice. Looks to be way better run. Everything seems to be VERY organized. Huge shop that's extremely neat and clean. Everybody's in uniform and taking care of business. I was waiting just outside of Reyes' office (till he got done typing something) and got asked twice by the white shirts if I'd been helped. Got asked twice more later while I was waiting to meet Steve Rodgers. Steve took the time to come out and introduce himself, chat a bit and seemed genuinely appreciative of getting my business.

Reyes said he thought it was better than Hartzheim in that it was more organized and there was more help.

Yes I can request (and get) that my car is worked on by viper techs only. Just have to schedule, and I might have to wait a little longer if one isn't free and has to finish up on their previous job.

Already have it noted: No test drive, No wash, No upgrade without authorization.

    We'll see how it goes.

    Sounds good Dave.

Hope they deliver as advertised for you?

I am going to have to find a good dealer once we move. I might need my current dealership recommend a shop?

Too bad I'm not around Dave. I can change the oil, brake fluid, tires, rotors, and brake pads! What service are you going in for Obiwan? LOL

This was the 21K one. basically oil and filter. I bought both the extended warranty and the extended service plan. Service plan is 5yr/75K. Worked out to about the same cost as the oil changes and you get the major services for free. Also gets you a rental if they keep it all day (maybe that was the extended warranty).

I went this morning. Seems like they did fine (of course it's hard to screw up an oil change). No mess, no finger prints, done by a viper tech. Took about an hour. Just for kicks I asked about the battery (don't know what I would have done with it). Turns out that it's covered under the 3/36 but not under the extended (they have to test it). Guess what? My 3/36 expired 21 days ago. I blame you guys for letting all those battery threads die with no resolution. If I had decided on a replacement battery I probably would have swung by to see if they'd replace the stock one and then gone out and replaced that with a deep cycle. Would have had a new battery to use in something or give away...
