I read some of you guys at the track that have a real hard time hooking up. I myself can't make this beast chirp at all, I pulled the pink fuse and everything. My charger srt brother said I probably had a lemon. I'm going to chalk that one up to jealousy.

So should I be able to break those tires loose?

Merry Christmas btw!

are you in a jeep or LX? If you hold down the break and then stab it and let off the break your car doesnt burn out then yes thats odd.

He's got a Jeep, and no, that's normal. You don't want wheelspin, sure it can be fun, but in the end it's just wasted power that you're not putting to the ground.
On the street my rear wheels may turn over once or twice before the fronts bite, but that's about it. Depending on available traction and power levels you may experience the same or no spin at all.
You don't want to brake stall with a Jeep either, just punch it so the converter can flash, otherwise you'll overshoot it and bog.

If your wanting to have some fun and you are having a hard time then here are some helpful hints.

Yes you have to pull the Ediff fuse.
You wont have much luck with only pulling that because of our active TQ management and ABS.
So now you need to remove the ABS fuse. Now you should be able to get that bitch sideways.

Watch my 2nd gear burn out and read my Mod directions listed below.
It actually starts out in 1st but switches to second very fast.

Joe,
The track is MUCH MORE slippery than the street.
I can do the 2 wheel peel on the track but not on the street.
With my new Michelins, they won't even chirp on the street.

What track do you go to? The only place on a track that is "slippery" is the water box. instaging there is so much rubber and if preped right VHT that when you walk on it you about come out of your shoes cause they stick to the track.

Great to hear on the Michelins Bill. I think that pretty much sold me.

I rent Rockingham.
Yes, it is VERY difficult to walk around the starting line, but, with the runflats, they would still tend to spin with my 2800 converter. My runflats barely spun on the street.

It will be different this spring with the drag radials.

I also find that the GY hook better on the street than at the track.
Seems to me that unless you do a proper burnout (wich we dont) the rubber at the track gets slippery for our rigs on street tires

Thanks all for the info. I was worried that I was doing something wrong. My brother video taped a couple of tries for me. First time was in drive, second was with autostick.
