When I added my four subs and extra amp I put in an Optima Yellow top. Been working great.

I wanted to get a D34 but I think it requires some bracket/hold down modifications? What did you get and how did you make it fit?

Mine hasn't and it's 3 years old... but the car won't start if I don't drive it for 2 days straight.

I replaced mine about a year ago with an Odyssey battery. I think it is one of the top battery on the market, but it comes with a price.

    +2 on the Odyssey

The sandwich/plate design is better than optima's spiral core six pack. The plate design packes more "battery" material into into the same amount of space than the sixpack. Most police departments are switching over from optima to odyssey. As a side note, Sears sells a high perforated battery that is just a rebadged odyssey. The Odyssey PC925 battery only weighs 26lbs vs the stock 48lb battery so you also save on weight which is a big deal if you race alot

    Nathan,
Which one? Yellow top? and what sort of fabrication did you do to get it strapped down in there?

Is the Odyssey a deep cycle battery? How does the Odyssey fit? Which Sears model is the re-badged Odyssey?

Sears Diehard Platinum BUT their contract with Odysseys parent company has expired so you may not be able to find one anymore. Its the same battery as the Odyssey PC1500, but $50 cheaper

Their "car finder" doesn't have any data for 2006 vehicles. (and I can't find the measurements from the last time I measured the battey box).
Vector battery chargers are not on the approved list.
Answer to "is it a deep cycle?": 400 charge-discharge cycles to 80% (what if it goes completely dead?)

Dave your much smarter than I am I just have a few friends that swear by them and from past experience with the red top optima I would give them a try.

I will certainly check it out.
Size is one thing. I think the Magnums (and the other LX's?) are a group 97 or something odd like that. I want it clamped down in the battery box.
I really want a deep cycle (like an Optima yellow top) so that if it goes completely dead it doesn't extremely shorten the life or ruin it).
And it's got to be completely sealed (which it looks like it is).

    Here would be my choice...

    Kinetik

I will be running these when I need to change out my other 3 batteries... (nice audio system - that's why 3)

    http://www.kinetikaudio.com/2009/products.asp?C=1

They are not cheap though but very good!!!!!

    :)

If you are going with one from Sears...

Go with the P-2... better battery...

The P3 and P5 have issues with there connectors

    :)
