We all tried are best to help get her out but there was no way she was gone almost instantly. Lifes crazy guys if you have kids please hug them right now and tell them how much you love them. Because you never know what will happen tomorrow. It was the most tramatic events in my life. The little girl was a beautiful latino girl who had a nice long life infront of her. Now she has nothing. sorry gys I still a little messed up and in shock from seeing this today. I mean I was smiling at thsi girl and sitting on the rock( where in the pic the 2 guys in yellow are standing left side of the rock) she went passed to get to the water fall 3 minutes before it all happened. I know its not my fault and I am not blame but I just wish I would have said somthing sooner or did somthing diffrent and she would still be alive. Also this girl wasnt a part of are group she was a complete stranger.
RIP.....that is truly a tragedy. I'm really sorry to hear about that John. That leaves me sitting here numb and sad!
dude it was crazy I was smilin gat ther 1o mins before it all happened. She was having so much fun and then she was gone. Its crazy too becasue she got stuck in the same spot she got sucked under at 5 mins before and we got her out then she got pulled right back to it as soon as she got back in the water. It was like final destination shit
I couldn't believe it when you called me eariler and told me. What a tragedy, and like you said John, a young girl with her whole life in front of her. My heart goes out to her family. Rest in Peace.
this stuff just pisses me off. people have zero thought on how powerful water is and how to take proper precautions. im sad and want to beat the shit out of the family at the same time.
Steve the worst part is she got stuck in it once before the time it finally got her down. I wanted to tell the parents like hello ur kids just almost died right there why r u letting them swim in the same place? The water was tricky the eddy we where standing in is where the pic was taken from in the video. It was a perfect water relax spot. But go 15 feet out and ur gone. I do alot of fly fishing so I respect rivers almost more than the ocean. I have also had a scare when my waders filled up when I slipped and was going down stream. Lucky I was able to get them off and to shore before I got drowned or hurt
jesus, that just makes it worse. i guess the saying really is true, "all men are sons, but only some men are fathers." this dad should take care of himself after letting this happen to his kid.
Yea he was slamming his head in to those rocks down below after about 15 mins of her being under. Itwas really bad dude by far the worse thing I have ever seen
Some of those river eddys can be so powerful it doesn't even matter much if you have a life jacket. Having been white water canoeing and doing a little body surfing (or whatever they call it) I have complete respect for river currents and when I do swim, its in a pool. Very sorry to hear about something like this and hope you don't beat yourself too much over this. Shit happens. If it weren't shitty, they'd call it something else.
