I have a Walbro 255 that i installed about 30k ago...it just became very loud, and its not flowing at its peak anymore. has anyone else experienced a walbro pump dying this early?

nope, i have always had qualms about the rewire, running it at higher voltage means higher rpms which in turn means that i should in theory wear out faster. looks like that shouldnt have been a issue haha.

a little more info, i never ever run the car at less than 2.0 gallons of fuel and i almost always prime the pump before starting the car.

thats a false statement its a DC motor that was designed to run 12-14 volts cause DC motors hate lower voltage and will make them run hotter its what kills them over time

i've read all the debates back and forth, and seen pumps fail when rewired. i made my choice. lol

heat shouldn't even be an issue because of the fuel acting as a coolant.

if the voltage was such an issue with the walbro pumps, then why would dodge not supply the proper voltage to the stock walbro pump?
