I have their system on my car. I am noticing cracks around the rear tips. Is this covered under your warrantee? What do you guys think if lost the rear mufflers and went with just pipe and tips in the rear
BB has a long-standing reputation for poor welding quality and customer service that they should be embarassed about.
I have a BB and the welds on my muffler cracked .. no questions asked .. they shipped a new part to me .. had it the next day. I just have to send the old piece back .. gotta get on that! Talk to Michael Boat .. he helped me out a lot, his brother is Billy Boat.
I had Billy Boat on my CTS-V. I loved that exhaust. Fully polished and simply bad ass. Never had a problem with welds or corrosion for that matter. I did have a CAT blowout which wasn't a bad thing. I dropped the exhaust and used a screw driver to de-cat both sides. Billy Boat sent me $100 via PayPal after I told them about the problem. I consider that REALLY good service. Now my Caddy? That was a piece of shit.
I think if you lost the resonators you might be in for some serious drone. You could try losing the muffler and keeping the resonators. Can't remember how that turned out for the people that tried it. What are you looking for?

Inexcusable lack of quality control. For what you paid for the system they should just send you the replacement tips gratis. Their warranty is interesting: "Billy Boat Performance Exhaust offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser of all non-race application products." "Our products are meant for high performance use and may not be legal for highway use in some states."
Yeah, that is bullshit. I'd call them on the phone and explain to them that your 3/4's of the way through your complaint online with the BBB. I've found that this has a way of speeding things up. I had a problem with on of LX's vendors and Tiger Direct once. One I took the tact above, the other I emailed them the BBB complaint number filed in their city. They resolved the complaint within 24 hours to my satisfaction. Paying shipping to fix their issue is not to my satisfaction.
