Who said that Tein is sub par???? I know a lot of people that have it and not had any issues at all. The only person that I know that didn't like the Tein stuff was Cam. It didn't work out for what he was doing with his Magnum. I was at a dealer to get other stuff done and they saw my tires were wearing out from the inside. So they looked at the alignment and told me it was off and they couldn't get it back to OE specs. I then bought the SPC stuff and then went to a different place to check the alignment and they also said it was off. I told them to get the stuff out of my backseat which was the SPC product. They installed it and BAM it drove better and the tires are wearing correctly now. As to listening to my peers???? WTF are you talking about... do you think that everyone on forums know what the hell they are talking about? There are only a few people in all the forums that I am in that I would ever listen to. Plus it is weird that all the other people that have used the SPC or Eibach or Pedders camber kits fixed there issues as well... I guess everyone can just throw money down the toilet... So I am saying that the SPC product worked for my car's issues and just informing Rick about it...
Well, a) Most of the SRT owners prefer drag racing to twisties and are used to blowing thru tires and b) Not a whole ton of daily driver SRTs and c) personally I just figured it was part of the price of driving a torquey vehicle. Last, I swear California has some of the worst freaking streets/roads anywhere. Every time I drive to San Francisco and back for one of Madeline's appointments I have to get my alignment checked. Granted I gave up and ended up with truck tires (Proxe STs). :smart: Hand it to Dave to make me feel like a lazy moron once again. :shifty:
Well the bushing will push out the top part of your tires and might rub the fenders after you install the camber kits... So if you are really low... you should roll the front and rear fenders... I need to do that to mine... Well I wrote about it and showed pictures of my tires about this issue... and then talked about the SPC stuff and how it fixed it... but I guess that isn't good enough for DRKNESS... and I didn't listen to my peers... whoever they are.... :erm: :erm:
The fronts are hard to get in spec for camber. Sometimes they need different adjustment bolts (forgot what they're called). The Mercedes bolts will work on our car and are cheaper than ours are stock (Chrysler markup?).
San Diego doesn't have the greatest streets either. I was planning on getting the Nitto NT05's, but if I'm destined to blow threw them so quickly I might give the Toyo Proxes 4 a whirl. I can't find V's for less than $250 a tire any more. Thanks Ralph....now that makes sense! Chris...he talks about how you have to roll the fenders because of squaring up the tires! LOL Albert, did you install the pieces and then have the suspension shop do the adjustments? I have seen the 0.75, 1.25, 2.0 adjustable pieces. I'm assuming they are adjustable once on the car right? I'm assuming this only works for non lowered vehicles right....a.k.a. the 4x4's! hehe
I'm not sure. I know that when I had mine aligned the guy said he might run out of adjustment with the stock bolts (they're the ones that sort of look like a cam lobe?) and if he couldn't get close enough he'd have to get different ones. He said he probably couldn't get Dodge ones immediately (like in town) but probably could get the Mercedes ones (which would work fine, and were cheaper). So I got the impression that there are bolts for more adjustment. Might not apply for the amount you need with the car dropped.
I didn't do it myself. I had a professional shop do the work. The rear bushing I ended up using was the 66085. I have a complete set of the 66080 bushing here if you need them. I am not sure if they would work for you. You are MORE than welcome to them. I can give them to Ralph when I see him tomorrow... just let me know 66085 - Camber ±1.5 degree .
Albert, I really appreciate it!!! I just PM'd Mike at Pedders about some options. I was going to get their full align kit. But, you may have changed that a bit with your rear set. They have a front full bushing setup, and I want to see if that and your rear bushings will work for my goals. I guess I should have asked how involved the full front setup costs for an install....that could easily be a show stopper for a one income family! LOL How much do you want for the rear bushing setup?
Rick... They are yours!!! Free of charge!!! (or a couple of drinks at D&B next time ) I will hand them to Ralph tomorrow at Hotchkis
You are too kind my friend. I really do appreciate it. We'll belly up to the bar the next time at D&B's for some Grey Goose! hehe.....I'll probably end up spending double for the damn bushings! LOL
Chris, just out of curiosity, how is your tire wear? My fronts are wearing really hard on the outer edges. I'm not sure if its the driving or the camber. I've also never before yesterday noticed any alignment issues. The thing has a slight pull to the left now.
now this is funny right here!!! lol i drive mine everyday and have been slammed almost since day one. yeah, tires go a bit quicker, but i usually wear out the rears fast for other reasons other than camber issues!!! lol  what..... so i can' see????? ass!!!! :ronlove: i know you are not talking about me!!! i would never roll a fender for any reason!!!! :shifty: if you actually buy goose....... yeah, the price will end up double!!! lol
ralph sucks!!!! i got your red font ralph, you phugger!!!! oh shit...... i can't read what i think i just wrote????????? lol
Update on the alignment. I got my Toyo's installed yesterday and the alignment is back to normal. I'm sure I could still use a camber kit.
The first time I took it in, it looked like this: They fixed it to look like this For some reason they were pretty upset that I had a nail in one tire and a rope repair (dyna plug) in another... they kind of refused to do the road force balance haha. When I got my NT05's put on not much had changed and it looked like this:
