We are getting close to finishing the 2009 Challenger build. HHP/BES 426 Low compression stroker w/ ARH LT 1 7/8" w/ HF catted mid pipe and Corsa Catback Procharger D-1 Paramount Performance built tranny Modern Muscle Stage 3 return Style fuel System w/ 80lb injectors MM 1200HP axles, Quaife, retro fitted 08 Differential and driveshaft CCW Custom wheels Powdercoated/painted The motor has been installed and broke in, Procharger, exhaust and Tranny in. Installing the fuel system and rear end Wed/Thurs and hopefully tuning on Friday or Monday. Shooting for around 700rwhp to start with and then progress from there. Will post graphs once the tuning is completed.
Thanks, it has certainly been a challenge, especially getting a fuel system to support our projected final HP expectations, but it will be a nice payoff. It's funny, you read all these forums and you'd think there are tons of these 700+ rwhp cars, but apparently not considering we just finally got the rest of the fuel system parts two week ago, after being on order for 3+ months.
The Modern Muscle Stage 3+-- rated for 1000HP...eventually, we'll see about that I suppose. Ford 80lb injectors at 40psi base, so they act like a 90-95lb in the Dodges
Finally finished tuning on the dyno yesterday. With 12lbs of Procharged boost on a low compression 426 we made 720 rwhp and 678 rwtq.
Congrats! Are builds are alot alike in many ways! Sounds about perfect for 12lbs! Looking forward to more from this build!
It's, "holy shitballs, Batman"!!.....Use your superhero lingo correctly!! :ronlove: Am very interested in the injector and fuel system part of that equation....Getting ready soon to install my CMW 426 and Techo S/C.... I am with 1Bad (Ron) though, I just can't bring myself to fork over the dough for the Modern Muscle fuel system.......... Hmmmmmmmmmmm...................
Well, check out HHP's website, they are showing the Fore aluminum hat available with two or three fuel pumps, then you would just have to source your own fittings and fuel line.
Break down of fuel system... Two Walbro Fuel Pumps = $120 each = $240 Required Fuel lines (3/8" or 1/2") $200ish Reworked basket = $100ish Misc pieces = $75 Total $615 give or take...
Don't forget the aluminum hat and all the fittings. I agree that the MM kit seems to be overpriced a bit. If I had to guess, I would say there was about $850-950 worth of parts in their kit. The Fore kit seems way more reasonable IMO
The misc price is for the fittings. I forgot about the hat. lol So add another $50 to that. Yes, I have looked into this and found a local fabricator to do the basket and hat stuff. I am just not interested in doing the work. hahahahahaha
I think you are a little off on all the fittings. I believe there were about 25 fittings in all, also fuel rails, adjustable fuel pressure regualtor and guage. Just throwing that out there, lol
Yea, but I am comparing MM's kit without fuel rails. Add between 150 - 300 for the regulator (lol I forgot about that).
