I found out about this site from 1bad4dr. But Ron, never sent me the link to it. It was sent to me by Sam R who goes by OMSRT on other boards. I have been an avid Drag Racer since I was 18 years old, I am now 53. That is 35 years of going WOT, legally. I know lots of tricks at the track and I am more than willing to help anyone in need of that knowledge, just ask. Right now I own a 2006 Inferno Red Charger R/T that is about 99% stock yet has run 13.58 @ 103.16 with a 1.956 sixty foot time on the stock Goodyear Tires. What I really like to race is though are my Turbo Charged & Inter Cooled Mini Vans. These Minis came from the factory with a 2.5 four cylinder with a small Mitsu Turbo. All of my Vans came with automatics although you could get them with a 5-speed manual tranny. My quickest Mini right now is a 1990 Caravan in Silver that ran a best of: 1.989 5.583 8.638 @ 81.20 11.239 13.614 @ 101.83 I am in the process of getting a big valve head and custom intake made for it. I already have the forged pistons, Big Turbo, Giant Inter Cooler and Methanol Fuel Injection. The motor is running 23 pounds of boost but it has a stock TBI head (normally aspirated one) on it and the motor quits pulling at 4,300 in 3rd. :angry: I am also putting on a Giant Meet/Greet along with a Car Show and a Drag Race on June 14 and 15, 2008 in Columbus, Ohio. My partner on this Event is TurboBuckeye. :clap: We are looking for 300 Particiopants, 14 Vendors, and 3,000 Spectators. This Event is based on the LX Vehicles, plus the SRT8 Jeep, and the new Challengers So with that said, I hope to meet many of you in here and have a great time chatting. Holy Crap man! Welcome to the forum. I owned a Daytona Shelby Z and an 87 GHLS and have seen a few quick minivans. NOTHING says sleeper more than that right. Props to you for sticking it out...I know I worked on that Daytona for some time and my best was a 14.10. Thought that was fast back then. Good to have you join!

To be honest I am hoping to get this Mini to run 12.15 around 110 before June 2008. Only time will tell. I like to be; lets say; different. Besides NO cop in the world would believe a Mini Van can do a burnout or be fast. :thumb: Here is a picture of my 1987 Dodge Shelby Z with the 2.2 turbo-I/C-and a 5-speed trans. Chuck - I've seen you around the forums for the past couple years. Could you start a thread about your drag prep work/technique.....practive by rolling the shoulder, things to do prior to racing, and lauch technique. I'm sure it will be a sticky for all to benefit from. Welcome buddy! - Rick
