    Hey all,
I've been lurking on the CherokeeSRT8 forum for a while; finally made my way over here. I live in the West Suburbs of Chicago, let me know if you are in the area and want to go Chevy hunting.

Wow there are a ton of nice cars on this site! I'm a huge fan of all things MOPAR again (had a '68 Roadrunner in High School), so seeing what you all are doing with the modern cars is great. There are some seriously sick MOPARS running around!

My Jeep is in the middle of a pretty big install right now...tuning should be finished next week. I'll post some in-process shots for now, maybe some glamor shots when finished.

It's about time you made it over here. What is taking Werks so long to get this done?

    Hey Chad!

Long story...it's all bad timing. I had scheduled a time to bring in the Jeep a while ago, but couldn't due to some work issues (thanks Army). I finally took it in while they were swamped with other work. Dave is basically working on it between jobs and on his own time. It would have been done had I taken it in a month earlier as planned.

I stole the Jeep for the last two weeks as my loaner fell through. Dave put a SAFE baseline tune in it and I babied it for about 700 miles. This week he had enough time to do the preliminary tuning. Right now it's at 470 AWHP @ 5600 RPM (Mustang 4-wheel dyno). It was getting pretty lean, so he didn't take it any higher for now. We'll jump back on the dyno Monday, install my A/F gauge, and start some serious tuning. The numbers are promising for now...should put out some power once I can get it closer to 64-6500 RPM.

Welcome! I'm assuming you are a combat medic...LOL. Are you in the guard? Again, assuming so since you live in the Chicago area. What sort of medic are you...infantry, helos, etc? Great to have you here brother. - Rick

Rick - I appreciate the welcome...and you are correct, not a ton of Army Forts in Chicago! After 9 years in the Army (Cavalry, Infantry, and (cough) Military Intelligence), I've been Active Duty Guard for the last 4 years. Unfortunately, most of the interesting Medic jobs are for E6 and below. I'm now a Platoon Sergeant in a Ground Ambulance company, but usually get kidnapped to work in Operations.

What's your gig in San Diego?

    -John

I've been a SEAL in San Diego for the past 11 years. I was a clinic medic for three years prior to attending SEAL training in 1998. I did the Army 18-D course, in which we (navy) break up in to two six month periods, where as the SF guys do it in one shot. I did the first half in 1999, and the second half in 2002-2003. I've also been in more of an OPS and leadership position for the past four years so my medical "skills" are a tad bit rusty! LOL
