Just received my Mondello Heads!

Thanks. My intake should be back from Pro Flow tomorrow. I can't wait to get these heads on.

The heads are now on the car. I haven't had a chance for a CMR tune, but I have added some fuel through the predator. I've done some datalogging and I'm getting no knock retard.

Now granted, I have butt dyno results right now. But the butt dyno tells me the car is definitely making more power. I couldn't get the grin off my face. I've been out beating on it and I just can't seem to stay out of the throttle.

Honestly, I was getting a little bored with my car. That's why I put the heads on even before my engine was done. Let's just say, I love my car again. This should keep me happy for the next 6 weeks until my engine is complete.

 

Ya those heads seem to have the grin effect.......

 

You will feel alot of torque between 2800 through 5500 like mad. All of a sudden the tach needle hauls ass as well!

No doubt about that. I'm loving the new found power.

I plan on hitting the track next Wednesday. My direct port is still not fully functional so I will be using the Zex kit. I want to see what the new heads will do. Granted, it is going to be 40 degrees hotter than when I ran my personal best.

 

As if you need to go faster, damnit!! Keep us posted how she does at the track.

 

Always trying to be a little quicker. Heading to the track this Wednesday. I'm not expecting any miracles since it is so hot right now. I'll just have to compare the times when I ran it last month. You remember how hot it was then, right?

 

Well, I finally had a chance to get a CMR tune with the heads. This was actually a couple of months ago, but I'm just posting now. I made 410rwhp. My previous dyno was 382rwhp. I changed the heads and headers at the same time. It looks like I picked up around 28rwhp with the change.

I finally had a chance to run in decent weather here in S FL. My best time on motor now is a 12.01 @ 113.78. My previous best was 12.23 on motor. I don't have any direct nitrous runs to compare to. I started running a bigger shot when I put the heads on. I'm now spraying a 300 shot on a stock block with a stock cam. My best ET so far is 10.37 @ 129.78.

Holy crap! So with basically the cats, TB and TC you did a 12.23? and with cats, TB, TC and heads you did a 12.01? That's awesome.

I drop it off next week. Hope to have all complete by the 15TH of January. Hopefully, this will give me time to get it tuned and a couple of shakedown passes before Bradenton.
