Hey guys!! Just thought I would pop in and say hi! I'm in Singapore right now....about 13 hours ahead of cali time. It's hotter and more humid then Guam was.... Just a quick note.....there was over 5000 new posts since I was able to log in four weeks ago....weaksauce...I figured there would be at least 12K by now. You guys (and gals.....and Ron....) are slacking..... Anyways...the boat sucks. The food is horrible...I ate my Big Mac at mcdaonals, and even though mcdonalds sucks, it was still a good burger. And I may have had a little too much to drink last night. It was a horrible morning today....:sick::sick: Well....I should be able to log back on a couple more times before we pull out. But, right now my laptop battery is dying, so I must depart.... Have fun guys, drive safe.....Long live SRT/C!! :usflag::usflag::usflag:
Jeff, Glad to know all is well with you. Whatever you do, DO NOT bring home mushroomitis. lol Be safe buddy.
I can't believe you do ont lie the food. There is a million choices. MacDonalds in Sngapore......yuk. Stay n the food courts and even if they don't look clean they are. Chicken rice......great Wonton noodle - try it dry or wet (in a broth like a soup) Chilli Crab Stingray Mee Siam soup Laksa Garlic or spicy vegetables All yummy... The people there very friendly. You will meet someone that will take you around to the different types of foods. Go to Clsrk Quay ..
Don't get me wrong...I've been eating everywhere else....But McDonalds is one of the only places I can eat in EVERY country I go to. There is a place in Australia called the "Hog's Breath"...fucking awesome...but I can't eat that everywhere. There was a little steak house in Japan that was a little hole in the wall....awesome food..... And then there is mcdonalds. The one thing that I do in every port is eat a big mac. Ohhh....and I was in Clark Quay. I could barely walk out of there....
Yeh...it's true. For some reasson I still go get a McDonalds when I travel for more than 2 weeks. Sort of a cure for any home sickness (comfort food). It is still sort of weird getting chilli sauce and not ketchup. I usually hang out at the Crazy Elephant in Clark Quay to shoot pool and listen to music (I like shooting pool with live rock and roll music). It is also a good spot to people watch. Air Force? That means you are down near Changi Village? ..
