Well, after a very long down time, I finally made it back to the track at PBIR last Friday. My first run was very mild on purpose (the new build is a handful), but still set a PB for me. Here are the timeslips:

Here is an in-car video of the 10.601 run (sorry about the sound--working on it):

The torque converter never locked up and the stall was just way too high. The tach stayed at 5800-6000 rpm throughout the run regardless of gear. It was also difficult to do any sort of burnout because the thing spools so dang fast. I've swapped out the T/C for a lower stall unit and will give it another try tonight, weather cooperating.

Click on image for a slideshow of the S/C install and fuel system plumbing, etc.

I'll post up some more if I do any good at PBIR tonight.

    Glad to be back.

With a better T/C, I hope to harness a bit more of that power tonight.

BTW, I hope LXF "footballs" aren't offensive here.

No racing tonight at PBIR--extened rain. Next chance is Wednesday T&T.

I'd like to see low 10's with the new T/C.

I'll need some seat time to get better than that.

I feel the motor has the power to keep heading in the right direction.

What I really want to do is break 200MPH at the Texas Mile. That would be a hoot.

I'm going back there in October.

I haven't de-tuned it yet for street use, but plan to. Pump gas, air filter, less timing, and perhaps a smaller crank pulley. That should get it below 750 RWHP and along with taming the accelerator pedal / throttle blade ratio should make it somewhat driveable on the street.
