I've been talking with Carlos at Techco about my 397 + supercharger they are building and got some awesome news on their first 427 + supercharger build! They were running on the engine dyno late last night and hit 901 hp / 917 tq with only 12 psi ...

This Techco 427 has ported heads, supercharger cam, standard (non-ported) Techco supercharger, stock manifolds, exhaust and throttle body! The pulleys are not even cog drive ... yet. They are just getting started and 1000+ hp is coming soon, I am sure!! These Techco engine / supercharger packages are sick!!

P.S. My 397 is up after they finish this one, and I am getting the cog drive with ported blower!!

    :D :D :D

um... I am sorry to be a dingdong about it, but 900+ is a lofty goal for that setup. The heads and manifolds will kill it all.

What is the specs on the cam? Are you running pump?

What I am getting at is that would require almost 200 hp per PSI to get those numbers. (case and point 1bad4dr)

I am confused, what do you mean by goal, they are already past 900 as is?
Engine had stock manifolds on it for the run. Keep in mind this was an engine dyno not a chassis dyno.
Here is what was on the motor for the run...

The configuration for the dyno test was as follows:

    Strategy
    68004308af
    MAP
    2Bar SRT4
    Inlet Tube
    Standard Techco SC Inlet Tube
    Pulley
    SC: 2.71", Crank: 7.5", 445mm Belt, 114mm Tensioner
    TB:
    Stock Dodge 80mm
    Plugs
NGK Iridium IX Heat Range 7 6510 (Pre-Gapped to .044)
    Injectors
Techco 60lb Injectors (Standard in SC Kit)
    Fuel Pump
Dyno Pump w/Return Set to 60lbs
    Air Filter
    Techco SC K&N
    Exhaust
    Stock Headers, 3" Pipes
    Engine
Techco 427, Forged Crank/Rods/Pistons, Cam, Ported Heads

I think Chris did not mean to add "Goal" to his wording. Typo most likely as it is clear by the dyno sheet.

I think it gets a tad confusing because the words "Engine Dyno" is not emphasised in the write up. Yes, engine dyno is in there, but usually other shops are boasting about Chasis Dyno's so it can get confusing or misleading ( I AM NOT SAYING anyone has mislead lol).

And yes, a HUGE congrats to Techco for finally getting their engine/blower combo completed.

I am still interested in seeing what the motor alone does (you know, without the blower). Just curious to the motors potential without a blower?

    As Ron just pointed out.

So......a strong N/A 426 is around 500hp to the wheels which is about 620hp crank. So....we are saying the Techco Supercharger on pump gas and 12psi is worth 300hp???
